Learn about the history of scarecrows and make a mini scarecrow of your own, plant a fall flower garden using upcycled materials, and find creative ways to decorate a pumpkin. Take a fall hike to collect materials for a nature craft and then warm up around the fire with homemade spiced cider and s’mores. Winter Wonderland

Grades K-5 DBJ Saturday, December 17, 2022 Join us at Camp Crossed Arrows for a celebration of all things winter. We'll take a winter hike and enjoy the fresh winter air, then grab our fuzzy socks for a fireside hot cocoa bar. Once we're warmed up, we'll create winter bird feeders and a snowflake made from natural materials as we learn about the science behind snowflakes and winter bird watch together. Bring a sack lunch. Sunday, February 12, 2023 Nature makes life sweeter! Pamper yourself this February with handmade natural gifts, learn how plants and animals make life more enjoyable for you, and how you can, in turn, help protect them and their habitats. Make herbal soap with your choice of scent and flowers, create a beeswax candle, and handroll delicious chocolate truffles. This day camp will give you everything you need to spread the conservation love! Start out with a birding lesson then grab your binoculars for a bird watching hike. After the hike we'll cool off inside and make a summer bird feeder and learn how you can use technology to continue your bird watching at home and help scientists to track bird migrations and populations.
