Brand positioning is the “market space” a brand is perceived to occupy in the mind of the target audience. All strong marketing communications programs need to focus on only a few messages to achieve a better impact in an increasingly noisy environment. The brand positioning is the part of the brand identity that management decides to actively communicate to the market.

Consistency in referring to SPIRE and its divisions in text is critical in maintaining a strong identity. Correct usage of capitalization, style and naming all impact the identity for SPIRE.
To unify all the divisions and programs within the organization, we refer to SPIRE Academy as SPIRE. Reference SPIRE Academy in formal communications the first time the organization is mentioned, and then use SPIRE after. The simple name SPIRE unifies all entities into a single, powerful brand.
Always capitalize SPIRE.
Capitalize Academy, Camps, Leagues, Clubs and Teams, Events, Fitness and Institute whenever referring to SPIRE, even though the word SPIRE may not precede it.
Only use SPIRE in front of the divisional names (ie. SPIRE Academy, not SPIRE Training Academy).
Use sparingly, and to avoid confusion.
Do not hyphenate words beginning with non, except if there is a proper noun. Ex. non-boarding, non-American
Do not hyphenate student athlete or student trainee.
Do not place a hyphen between the prefixes on, off, pre, etc., and nouns or adjectives, except before proper nouns, but avoid duplicated vowels or consonants. Ex. on site; off site; pre-enroll.
Specific to on site and off site: It is correct to say, “the staff is on site,” just as you would say “The staff is on location.” To create an adjective, hyphenate the words.
Ex. “We need to get an on-site inspection.”

This highlights SPIRE as the engine behind the program, while separating the camp, club, league or program from those offered by SPIRE which would include SPIRE training methodology.
When SPIRE owns a portion of an event on site, SPIRE logo must never be combined with any other logo nor should it have a smaller presence than the other logo. The logos should be equal in size and side by side.
Image style plays a critical role in developing a vivid and meaningful identity for SPIRE. Our images will show natural, real-life people and situations. We’ll leverage the iconic athlete regardless of skill level, as well as our leadership team.
The SPIRE brand is implemented on stationary and electronic mediums in a way that displays the professionalism and innovation that the organization is known for. Each piece is created with a clean and modern look that allows for easy reading, print and distribution. Brand colors and similar characteristics are used throughout in order to build audience recognition of the brand.
The SPIRE S logo is specifically designated for small-format applications, exclusively reserved for apparel and merchandise items. When using this logo variation, it should only be applied as a screen print or embroidered element positioned on the left chest pocket area of garments.
