The Learning and Development department recognise that advisers join Just Mortgages with a wide range of experience and skills. We also appreciate that L&D needs to be both accessible and convenient. The emphasis therefore is on offering a broad range of topics including skills, product knowledge and IT familiarisation in a range of ways from traditional training room format through to online learning or using remote video conferencing. We are here to help with your business growth and learning and bespoke our training to your needs.

Your local Business Manager is keen to talk to you to answer any questions you have and to arrange an initial face to face introductory meeting. Our commission structure is bespoke to your business and potential business levels, the more business you generate the higher the level of remuneration.
I’ve worked in Financial Services since I left school starting in banking at Barclays. I was then offered a Mortgage Adviser position in estate agency which I gladly accepted and that started my mortgage career. I stayed at the same place for 24 years and covered all aspects of mortgages & protection moving into Supervision and Sales Management quite quickly developing my skills which have led me to my role here at Just Mortgages. I’ve picked up many awards on the way and still like to keep my feet on the ground and in with the thick of things. I love my job and like to think I know what I’m doing, I lead a successful team of Business Managers who look after our brokers in the North who are our wonderful customers at the end of the day!
Outside of work I have 2 French Bulldogs who are complete nutters and I fill my time outdoors, on holidays, on long walks and weekends away.
I believe that mortgages and protection are very personal subjects in a skilled and highlyqualified field. Many Mortgage Advisers do not realise their full potential and what their skill and knowledge can do to help them set up their own business until they are given the opportunity and encouraged realistically. The reason I moved to Just Mortgages SelfEmployed Division was because that is what we specialise in, we are a very positive and supportive operation and love to help and encourage everyone into their own environment to create the role and the future that they deserve and that is bespoke to them. My favourite thing to tell people when they join us is that we fit into your box, you do not fit into ours! Our support levels are suitable for everyone, no matter who you are, everyone needs some support at some stage - why should you be on your own when others can help you? There is nothing better than watching someone take a leap into their own business and not only do it, but do it well and I take immense satisfaction in everyone else’s success which is why I do what I do.
Similarly we also help a lot of existing self-employed brokers who simply are not getting the help and encouragement that they need and I’ve seen many of these people move to us and flourish because of what we are able to put on the table for them.
