Our Crest Design & Colour

The St Paul’s crest represents the centrality of the cross to the Christian faith and thus mission of our school; profiled by the rising sun symbolising our hope and future in Christ. The crest is made up of the central logo with the name and motto of the school around the diameter.

The logo should not be redrawn, digitally manipulated or altered. No rescaling of the horizontal or vertical proportions should occur.

The St Paul’s logotype consists of two elements: the logo and the St Paul’s Grammar School wordmark. Both elements have been visually combined to create a modern identity for St Paul’s that profiles the name of the school in brand opportunities.

Message from the Principal

Congratulations to our hardworking and talented Year 12 students who have again produced some exceptional results. Despite the many unexpected challenges of the last few years, they have not only persevered, but excelled.

As the only school in the greater west of Sydney to offer both the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, senior secondary students at St Paul’s choose the credential that best suits their skills and interests.

Combining our HSC and IB 2022 results, 33% of students achieved an ATAR above 90 and 52% achieved an ATAR above 80, with strong results recorded across a broad range of subjects. I especially congratulate the 2022 Dux of St Paul’s, Keira Hastings, who received an ATAR of 99.90.

These excellent results are particularly pleasing given the disrupted nature of the past three years. Through fires, floods and pandemic, Year 12 have been on an unexpected journey. Their resilience and determination across these tumultuous years displays a resourcefulness and strength of character every bit as impressive as their grades.

Regardless of whether our students choose the HSC or the IB Diploma Programme in their senior years at St Paul’s, they are gifted with an education that equips them with skills required for the twenty first century – our dedication to this intent is absolute and can be clearly demonstrated by our teaching and learning initiatives over the years.

At St Paul’s, we lay the foundation for our students’ ongoing achievement, year after year, with our commitment to nurturing and educating the whole child. The extensive co-curricular activities offered at St Paul’s help students grow

academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually within a safe and supportive environment. At St Paul’s, students are empowered to be involved in the full life of the school at every stage of their journey from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.

This publication is designed to highlight the accomplishments of our students as they move beyond their St Paul’s experience. It is always inspiring listening to our graduating students’ hopes and aspirations for the future and we pray for God’s blessing on them as they commence a new stage of life.

Whatever field of endeavour they now choose to undertake, am proud of the role that the teachers, staff and the wider school community of St Paul’s have played in the development of each students’ interests and character.

The graduating class of 2022 leave St Paul’s as a remarkable group of people – resilient, knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate – with a determination that’s inspiring. We can’t wait to see what they do next.

Our students... are gifted with an education that equips them with skills required for the twenty first century – our dedication to this intent is absolute and can be clearly demonstrated by our teaching and learning initiatives over the years.

Abigail relished the opportunities on offer at St Paul’s to do the things she loved.

Her tremendous involvement with the Dance Academy created a second home for her, where she found many like-minded people who shared a similar passion for Dance and the Arts.

In choosing the subject of Dance for the IB Diploma, Abigail’s co-curricular love soon became one of her favourite subjects too.

Abigail credits her self-motivation skills and the unwavering support of peers and teachers as key contributors to her fantastic results. Consistent routines, healthy study habits and a balanced lifestyle were all employed by Abigail as vital building blocks for academic success.

A strong role model for all other students, most notably as School Captain, Abigail valued the strong sense of community at St Paul’s. Reflecting on her senior years, she is mindful of the extreme challenges faced by her cohort, but always felt encouraged by the genuine care displayed by the teachers and staff. Abigail’s achievement is certainly an example of how inherent talent and a strong work ethic can lead to great success.

It is a long journey, and every day is an opportunity to improve.”

A Tradition of Excellence

We are enormously proud of our graduating class of 2022. The challenges of the past three years have strengthened their resilience and character to enable these students to graduate as fine young adults, well prepared for the uncertainty of the wider world they enter.

Their academic results are outstanding, consistent with the school’s long tradition of academic excellence, but do not in any way act as a measure of the individual qualities that these graduates have developed during their time with us at St Paul’s.

Credit must also be given to the deep professional experience and care found within the St Paul’s teaching staff, who walked with these students through their time at the school, supporting and nurturing their gifts and challenging them to bring out their best.

Their academic results are outstanding, consistent with the school’s long tradition of academic excellence, but do not in any way act as a measure of the individual qualities that these graduates have developed during their time with us at St Paul’s.
