■ Col Lopic
Riesplorando il Col Lopic Quattro anni sul massiccio del Canin, fra vecchie e nuove grotte Andrea Borlini, Gabriele Concina All’inizio dell'estate 2001, un piccolo gruppo di spleleologi decide di iniziare una nuova campagna di esplorazioni nelle zone comprese fra il Monte Cergnala (sul confine sloveno) e il Col Lopic. L’intenzione è quella di cercare nuovi ingressi di cavità, senza trascurare la ripetizione delle grotte più importanti già conosciute, alla ricerca di possibili prosecuzioni interne. Here we describe the history of the new esplorations carried out in Col Lopic karst area (east part of M. Canin, Alpi Giulie) started in 2001.The initial efforts were dedicated to the revision of abyss
“Modonutti – Savoia”, then of the cave “Fiume Vento”, now connected with the first.The explorations in these caves never stopped and gave the explorators the greatest satisfaction with more than 2 km of new branches. In the last few years we also explored a nearby karst area, where we found the “Cueva de las ketchup” and other small caves that complete our research. Next projects are Monte Canin looking for connection between “Modonutti – Savoia – Fiume Vento” caves and the other caves founded in the area, to develop an hypogeum system.
