Dear Friends
We are glad to once again bring you a calendar that showcases the unique scenery and special beauty that graces our area of the Upstate. In each of the winning photographs, you will see the consistent theme of water – whether flowing over shoals, or gently babbling along a river, lapping against a boat or sparkling in the sunshine.
As water professionals, we are stewards of this natural resource, and play a vital role in protecting public health in our community. Our Mission is simple, yet profound – Spartanburg Water “We Make Water Work.”
We make water work by playing a vital role in protecting public health and our environment, by focusing on sustainability, supporting our community, business and smart growth, and inspiring future generations through innovation and service.
And while our organization’s Mission is the foundation to our commitment to service, our Vision speaks to our ongoing pursuit of excellence in how we approach our shared future as a community. We will continue to lead with resilient, affordable and innovative water solutions that secures access to a sustainable source of clean, safe water now and for all generations to come.
All of this speaks to our shared purpose not only as a Spartanburg Water team of Water Professionals, but as a family. We serve with purpose because water connects us all. We are committed to our community by protecting our environment, building lasting relationships, cultivating innovation and continuously improving how we serve – for the health of our community and our shared future.
Our Mission, Vision and Purpose are all guided by our core values. Values that represent our approach to not only serving our community, but also in how we choose to work as a team. We start every day keeping the following tenants in mind and letting these tenants drive our work.
