At Cytidel, we help security teams cut through the noise and focus on the security risks that actually matter. Traditional approaches to vulnerability management overwhelm teams with endless alerts, often prioritising the wrong risks. Cytidel solve this by using real-time threat intelligence to surface the top 1% of vulnerabilities that pose a real threat—days or even weeks before other sources catch up. We’re a fast-moving, intelligence-led company built for security professionals who need actionable insights, not endless alerts.
As a pre-seed startup, Cytidel have secured multi-year enterprise deals supporting organisations across financial services, aviation, and healthcare – a significant achievement at this stage. Cytidel have been recognised with multiple industry awards, including National Startup of the Year and the Fintech Category Award at the 2024 National Startup Awards. Additionally, Cytidel also won the Innovation Award at the National Enterprise Awards 2024, further highlighting the impact the team are having on the cybersecurity space.
Cytidel was founded by Matt and Conor after meeting during their time at Accenture. Having worked on the frontlines of cybersecurity, they saw firsthand how traditional vulnerability management overwhelmed teams with alerts, often prioritising the wrong risks and leaving real threats buried in the backlog.
Cytidel was built to change that. The platform is designed to help security teams cut through the noise and focus on the vulnerabilities that actually matter. Drawing on their expertise in security operations, vulnerability management, and cyber risk intelligence, they developed a system that uses real-time threat intelligence to surface the 1% of vulnerabilities that pose real risk, enabling security teams to proactively prevent security incidents.
The vision is simple: provide security teams with actionable insights, not endless alerts. By ensuring defenders stay ahead of the latest emerging threats, Cytidel help organisations reduce breach risks, eliminate unnecessary late-night emergency calls, and make cybersecurity operations more efficient.

Founded in 2023, LEP Biomedical is a pharmaceutical controlled release company with a core mission to simplify and improve post-operative care for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgeries via the HyaGuard platform.
HyaGuard is a proprietary controlled release platform created to specifically address the high failure (14-46%) and reoperation (2-27%) rates associated with bleb-forming glaucoma surgeries.
HyaGuard is designed with both patient and surgeon in mind. It is lightweight, biodegradable, rapidly inserted under the conjunctiva in <30 sec and not externally visible. This simplifies surgeries while ensuring patient comfort and is aesthetically pleasing.
Initial pre-clinical studies in post-trabeculectomy rabbits found that use of HyaGuard™ resulted in significantly better tolerability and safety scores compared to traditional post-op care. In parallel, use of HyaGuard™ did not require co-application of anti-metabolites to maintain statistically significant >20% decreases in starting IOP up to the 4-week study end point. LEP Biomedical have now completed a pre-seed raise of €110,000 for a 12-month runway in which to close a €4 million seed raise. In addition, LEP have now launched a €10,000 innovation partnership with Munster Technical University to further strengthen their competitive moat. Seed round objectives include GMP manufacture, full GLP pre-clinical validation and clinical trials application filing.

xWave Technologies is on a mission to save lives by ensuring patients get the best test first. The FDA estimates that 20%-50% of advanced imaging may be unnecessary for patients, leading to missed or delayed diagnoses, longer radiology wait times, and increased healthcare costs. To solve this, we developed xWave CDS, a cloud-based clinical decision support system that helps referrers order the best test first and enables radiology teams to vet referrals efficiently. Built in partnership with the European Society of Radiology (iGuide) and the Royal College of Radiologists (iRefer), xWave CDS provides evidence-based guidance at the point of care.
xWave Technologies was established in April 2020 by a group of leading Irish radiologists to solve the problem of patients being referred for inappropriate scans and to tackle the significant radiology workflow inefficiencies that exist around the globe.
xWave’s first clinical decision support software (xWave CDS) went live in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in February 2021. In 2024, xWave won contracts with public and private healthcare providers across both Ireland and the UK, resulting in €2.5m worth of contract wins and putting xWave at an annual recurring revenue (ARR) rate of €550,000 by December 2024. This included xWave winning contracts with our first 8 NHS Trusts: https://www.rte.ie/news/ business/2024/1104/1478963-xwave-technologies-secures-uk-contract/
