How to use Microsoft Teams “Direct Dialing” to dial anyone
Using Microsoft Teams, you can dial any number inside -or outside of your Microsoft account very easily!
A) For DESKTOP
Step 1: Click the “Calls” icon on the left pane
From here you will click “Dial a number” at the bottom of the PC App to open your Dial Pad:
Your own phone number will be displayed above your Dial Pad. Using your Dial Pad you can dial ANY NUMBER Inside -or Outside of your account! Simply enter the number and click “Call”. Calls will automatically be placed via Audio. You can choose Video by clicking the Video button once your call is connected to your
party. Note: Video calling will only work if your recipient is able to conduct a video call on their end.
B) For MOBILE
Step 1: Open your Microsoft Teams MOBILE App and choose the “Calls” icon at the bottom. This will immediately open your “Recent Call History”. To place a new call, press the Phone Handset icon (top right corner). This will display your Dial Pad. Dial whatever number you wish to dial from your Microsoft Teams phone number - whether it be INSIDE or OUTSIDE of your account. Click your DIAL icon:
How to put a call on Hold, Transfer, Consult then Transfer,
and Park a Call- (if applicable)
A) For DESKTOP
Step 1: During a live call, click the 3 Dots (top right corner of your call window) and you will have options to:
• Device Settings- accesses your PC settings for audio/video options during your call
• Hold- will place your caller on Hold. Pressing RESUME (top of your call window), will pick up your call that’s on Hold
• Transfer- will allow you to enter another phone number -or contact name to Transfer your call directly to
• Consult then Transfer- will allow you to enter another phone number -or contact name to CALL THEM FIRST, before transferring your call to them
• Park Call- will allow you to Park a caller and allow another person within your account (or it can be yourself) ...the ability to pick-up the Parked Call. Clicking Park Call will then provide you a Parked Code. You’ll need this code to pick up a Parked Call. You can pick up a Parked call by clicking your Calls icon to the left of your PC App pane, then click “Parked calls” (top right corner). Then enter the specific Parked Code for the Parked call.

How to activate Call Forwarding
A) For DESKTOP...
Step 1: Click on the 3 dots to the right of your top Search Bar and choose SETTINGS:
Step 2: In your SETTINGS window, click “Calls” then choose “Forward my calls”:
In your “Forward to:” dropdown...
- Choose “Voicemail” to send all calls to your Voicemail
- Choose “New number or contact” to enter either an established contact or another number you wish to forward calls to (a cell number for example)
- Choose “Call Group” then select people to be in your Call Group you want to forward calls to whenever you need to. Note: You will have an option to choose a Ring Order –“All at the same time” or “In the order above” – the order you chose them. *Click SAVE to save this specific Call Forward option.
B) For MOBILE...
Open your Mobile Teams App and click on your Initial icon (top left corner):
Click on Settings: Click on Calling:
Turn on Call forwarding:
Click on “Forward to” and choose Contact or number:
Enter the number you want to forward calls to and select the number once entered”
You’re now forwarding your calls. You will see a beside Contact or number. Backing out of this screen, you’ll also see Call forwarding turned on with the number of phone numbers you’re forwarding to:
