COMMUNITY KITCHEN 01

My mission for the community of Mission Hill is to develop an environment where individuals of all ages are encouraged to congregate and spend time interacting with one another. The goal is to incorporate three major functions, cooking space, eating space, and cultivation space in relation to each other where people will gather to educate, get educated and assist one another in the activities. My idea is to arrange these three functions adjacent to each other, interconnected yet individually bounded with distinctive form, flanked by circulation and landscaping.

My idea to have the cultivating space in the center is to make the people see the crops and think about the amount of care and patience that is required to cultivate vegetables and fruits and to aware them that the food wastage in many developed countries is more than enough to fulfil the needs for many smaller developing countries around the world.

LUXURIOUS BEACH RESORT 02

The aim of the program primarily focus on fulfilling the need of accommodation for tourists in the city of Dwarka by designing a beach resort. Since, due to recent developments in the nearby area, tourism has increased in the region but, there are not many options for accommodations to fulfil the visitors requiremment effectively.

The program will also focus on providing a restaurant that will be accessible to the visitors of shivrajpuj beach without engaging into the resort premises.

The premises will have amenities that brings out the characters of a beach resort, such as beach vollyball, small trails from resort leading to beach, caddy cart service to the beach, beach restaurant and many more.

GYM, indoor games and changing room is designed into a cluster placed near the swimming pool at the lower level flanked by natural landscape around it.

• The upper level adjacent towards the east side would form indirect amphitheater which could be utilized for conducting yoga sessions and other recreational activities.

The above spatial planning is for the spa and suits which are design in the proximity of each other.

• All the 3 spaces here are placed on 3 different levels, Suit 1 at ground level(+00m), Spa at intermediate level(-1350), and Suit 2 at lower ground level(-2700).

All these spaces are accessible with ramp.

URBAN REGENERATION 03

The aim of the studio was to regerate and develope the urban spaces within the proximity of a national heritage monument i.e., Adalaj Stepwell at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The build and unbuilt spaces were supposed to compliment the existing heritage structure.

The concept of the design was to have minimal built spaces near the monument and increasing built spaces moving away form the monument in order to sustain the importance of the heritage structure. Spatial characteristics in terms for form, levels and scale were derived from the stepwell to respond positively towards it. Materials and several structural elements are inflenced by the monument.

TRACING MASTERS

The aim of the studio was to design an Automobile Design and Engineering Institute in the context of Ahmedabad with the influence of ideologies and principles of a master architect.

The main concept of the design was the zoning of the spaces as per the propgram demands. The design was developed by following 3 major objectives, firstly, rational spatial arrangement of the built and unbuilt spaces, secondly, taking certain design decisions to make the design more unique towards automobile institute and lastly, implementing the ideologies and principle of master architect Renzo Piano into the design.

TECHNICAL DRAWING 05

Get into the details of a project and understand how a design project is transformed into technical drawings for execution on site.

Different layers of drawings were created of one project to understand the contruction technique for the selected project. Load bearing structural system was explored for this project with exposed brick walls and concrete sloping roof.

INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN 06

The aim of the studio was to design a performing arts institute in the context of Ahmedabad. The design should consist of all the necessary spaces that any art institue demands.

The concept was to place the spaces along the slope, seprating academic and administrative buildings by the ridge of existing contours. The spaces were designed keeping in mind the relationship between the surrounding spaces and existing vegetation. A clock tower is proposed at the upper mpst level on the ridge that defines an axis for the institute.
