Fun for All the Family
It’s that time of year again, when delightful Donkeys come out to play! Adur East Lions will once again be holding their annual Family Fun Day in Buckingham Park.

This year it’s being held on Sunday 3rd July, from 11am to 4pm and we’re all keeping our fingers firmly crossed that the weather is kind to us.
This year’s event will be packed full of fun and games galore like never before. Not only will we have our Classic Car Rally, together with the famous donkey rides and Cole’s Fun Fair, but we’ve also secured many exciting attractions, such as The Shoreham Allstars, Birds of Prey from Falconry 1066, Karate displays, Wickers gymnasts, Punch & Judy, Worthing Larks Morris Dancers, Zumba and children’s entertainer, Isabella. There will be numerous stalls and games to keep you and your family entertained throughout the day. We will also have refreshments, such as our own Tea and Cake tent for when you need a little pick-meup. If you fancy something stronger, why not head to the Beer tent, run by our neighbouring Lions Club from Rottingdean & Saltdean. We have also arranged a burger van, Tai food van, Ice Cream Van, Donut van and a Slushie station. We’re confident something is sure to tempt your tastebuds! Carol Cleveland (of Monty Python fame), will also be opening the event for the second year in a row. It’s sure to be a fantastic day, so pencil it in your diary today. We hope as
many people as possible from our local area will come and support the event, as it helps us raise much needed funds that we can then funnel back into the Community - We look forward to meeting you on the day, but if you fancy helping out - Maybe serving cakes or making teas, putting up our gazebo’s, manning the parking or even picking up after the Donkeys, we’d love to hear from you (as let’s face it, we need as many hands as possible)!
