Mr. Mattina was retiree of Ford Motor Co. a life member of VFW Post 5798, an Army veteran of WWII serving with the 82nd Combat Engineers. Legion Holds 3rd Annual Baby Shower for Veterans

The Angola VFW Auxiliary Post 5798 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 928 hosted the 3rd annual Baby Shower for women Veterans receiving their care from VA Western New York Healthcare System on Sunday, April 27, 2014. About 60 women attended and donated over $5,500 in baby items for pregnant women Veternas receiving VA care. Jill Lamantia, Womens Programs Manager and Patient Advocate, gave a presentation on VA services for women, and explained how VA cares for over 50 pregnant women a year.
