She Said I Cured Her Forever…Why Am I Feeling a Little Guilty? I was recently reading a letter given to me from a patient how her life has been changed forever as a result of the care she received at our office. Chiavetta, of Brant, NY, who passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Seneca Manor Health Care after his long running battle with brain cancer, he was 63. Beloved husband of Marie Chiavetta (nee Hannotte), loving and devoted father to Nina M. Chiavetta and Christina M. (Jordan) Stapf. Loving stepfather to Cara and Erin Sweeney. Most cherished grandfather to Brielle Christina Stapf. Dearest brother of Thomas (Barbara) Chiavetta, Kathy (Vinnie) Keough, Nancy Chiavetta and Peter (Diane Leberman) Chiavetta. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Paul was a long time member of the Farnham Volunteer Fire Company. He had a passion for running and was an active member of the Nickel City Road Runners. Boyer also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. The VFW Post 5798, in conjunction with the Angola Pennysaver, takes pride in recognizing Charlotte Acksel as the February 2014 honoree for the Lake Shore Central School District “Employee of the Month” award. Charlotte is shown in the photo below accepting a check for $100 from Bob Jakubczak, Commander of VFW Post 5798. Congratulations Charlotte Acksel for being recognized as the Employee of the Month for your outstanding work and dedication. Charlotte has generously donated her award check back to the VFW as a result of all the good community services the VFW provides to our community.
Charlotte was born in Western New York and raised in Angola. She is a graduate of Lake Shore Central Schools. She lives in Angola with her husband and has two daughters who have both graduated from Lake Shore. Both of her daughters have continued on to carriers in education and transportation. Charlotte began her career working in the Lake Shore CSD Transportation Department as a School Bus Driver in 1998. Her Staff devotion to the industry prompted her to become a School Bus Driver for Lake Shore. Charlotte’s love for student safety and staff training continued to grow over the years; she is an active member of the Lake Shore School Bus Safety Team, training students how to be safe on and around school buses. Charlotte achieved her certification as a New York State Department of Motor Vehicles School Bus Driver instructor in 2011. Her determination to increase her knowledge and improve her skills is well displayed by her efforts. Charlotte took first place in the Western New York Association of Pupil Transporters transit school bus competition in both 2011 and 2013. Her work ethic as an advocate for student and staff safety is outstanding. Charlotte is a very valuable employee of Lake Shore Central Schools and an asset to our community. Basic Position Description:
The Vocational educator in the field of computer science and related technological areas will coach and teach adult learners in the fundamentals of computer software and hardware and keyboarding. (Entry level skills to Advanced level skills) Candidate must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the computer education areas including ability to teach Keyboarding skills and have experience in teaching and working with students in the field. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with the adult learner. Demonstrate the ability to teach and use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations and telecommunications. Candidate must be able to develop lesson plans and use of various communication methods. Candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related areas. To teach software courses are required to have certifications of Cisco or Microsoft or others applicable. Candidate must have minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. Candidate must be able to travel between the Seneca Nation of Indians Territories (Cattaragus and Allegany). Candidate will be subject to background check and pre-employment drug test.
