C’mon now beloved and tell the truth! Did you realize and experience how powerfully GOD spoke to us last Sunday through our gifted preacher, Brother Orlander Thomas?

Later in the day, thoughts kept popping up in my mind and I found myself saying ‘Wakanda Forever! Then, I looked up the meaning of Wakanda and found it is a name for Sioux Native American females = Inner Magical Powers

Indeed, to some degree, Brother Thomas’ sermon regarding Song of Solomon 1:6, served to help us to reimagine the perceptions most of us have garnered about ourselves Not only have we gathered, kept close to our hearts, or formulated negative thoughts about our own selves, we have essentially internalized the larger societys negative portrayal of our worth merely due to the color of our skin Yet, for the most part, and by GOD’s Grace, we consistently demonstrate strong ‘inner magical powers’ that lead us to STAND and PROGRESS against the odds against us! So, this discovery led me back to the Black woman illuminated in Song of Solomon 1:5-6 An idea appeared to me revealing the possibility that her stating “my mother’s children were angry with me” was very likely due to their being jealous (and possibly afraid of) of her beauty and her ‘inner magical powers ’ Isn’t that the basic issue that hovers over our heads from the ‘larger less-melanated society’ - that of jealousy, anger, and fear?

However, thank GOD Who directed David to declare our topic for today! Each one of us, gorgeously melanated or not, is beautiful to GOD because He formed us! He is pleased with His created beings whom He made in His own Image!

Thank you, Brother Thomas, for sharing what The Holy Spirit infused into your mind and planted by your mouth – the words and seeds of wisdom and freedom which serve to usher us into actually better loving GOD - loving ourselves - loving each other!
