That just happens to be a quite visible sign in my guest restroom – seriously! In that restroom are cloth towels, paper towels, aromatherapy gentle hand soap, and hand sanitizer. Everything a man, woman, or child needs to exit the restroom refreshed and with clean hands is in my guest restroom.
While Father God does not scream as loudly to us, as that sign does, about how we should respond to the twists and turns that occur in our lives, He does make it abundantly clear to us that He has and does provide everything we need in each of our lives (Ephesians 4:19). It is quite clear from His written word (that small still voice; I Kings 19:12) that He has already prepared the best and the right way for us to conduct ourselves.
Our world is full of disappointments and uncertainties. College students and young adults are either killing each other or killing themselves by suicide and illicit and harmful substances. Young elementary school-aged children are exposed to all manner of domestic and community violence. Our young people’s minds are being thwarted by a plethora of misinformation through several social media platforms, video games, in-school bullying, at-home violence, and so much more. Race hate and race bait are prevalent all over this country and the world.
Most days it seems hopeless and very scary because we cannot see any methods we can use to redirect/reframe our hearts and minds. It is of great importance that we read, study, and follow God’s written precepts in order to compassionately and intentionally teach them to the younger generations (Proverbs 22:6). According to the written word as found in I Peter 1:3-4, there is no need for any one of us to feel hopeless or fearful in this world because EVERYTHING we need has already been given to us wherein, we are actually partakers in Christ’s divine nature!
Just as everything needed for refreshment and cleanliness is in my guest restroom, so is EVERYTHING we need to live in God’s bountiful grace, righteousness, and mercy available to us right now! Let’s wash our minds for real though, and live in, walk in, teach in the already prepared legacy that GOD gives us freely! Let’s change the world through Christ’s Love and Precepts! For real though, let’s step into our real place as Christ’s disciples/teacher/ministry workers!... Seriously!
