First of all, can you believe it – time has transitioned us to the absolute end of June, 2023? Have you seen GOD’s hand working in your restoration this month? As we endeavor to “embrace the restoring ministry of Christ so that we may show forth the life-giving power of The Christ,’ let’s remember the unmatched joy, and possibly even pure satisfaction we experienced when we were baptized into Christ. Take a moment to recall that soul-saving time in your life…
Just prior to being baptized into Christ, you were audibly clear in confessing your belief that Jesus is The Son of GOD (correct?). You can declare that at that particular moment, you were made a new person (II Corinthians 5:17) into whom Holy Spirit has set up residency (Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 6:19).
Hmmm, I wonder if the indwelling of Holy Spirit is what -Mary, Mary- was alluding to when the song, “It’s The GOD In Me” was produced? A few passages of the song depict how GOD is always present: “You think I'm so fresh, you think I'm so clean; You think I'm so sweet, it's the God in me; What is it you think you see? (It's the God in me); It's the God in me; What is it you think you see; When you see me, you see me?; You don't know how much I pray; Don't know how much I gave; Don't know how much I changed; I'm just tryna explain; It's the God in me.”
That song does, in some way, reveal the restoring and the life-giving power that Christ has entrusted to you and all His ministering disciples. [Note: In this sense, that ministering indicates serving and relating to others in such a manner they, somehow, see a resemblance of Christ when they see you.] Mary, Mary sings about it, and we (hopefully) live it every day (as best we can with Holy Spirit’s constant help). As surely as you are renewed and restored, it is your (and our) responsibility to share Christ’s goodness and saving power with other people around us.
Everyone with whom you come into contact needs to see you as the person whom GOD has made you to be. With honesty and authenticity, you (along with us) are to live as though we truly believe the words found in Ephesians 2:10. [“For we are GOD’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”]
Yes, acknowledging who you are by Christ’s victorious sacrifice gives you the right and the power to say “It’s The GOD In Me” in every aspect of your life! Not only are you transformed, but your life serves as motivation for others to, also, be renewed, transformed, and restored!
Thank you for being one who exhibits your belief and who victoriously functions as a GOD In Me person of Christ!
