Yet, through it all – the good times, the dull times, and the awful/disappointing/painful times, we can truly say/conclude that GOD has blessed us! Would you venture to say that? Is it in the viewpoint of your mind that throughout all the occurrences this year, you/we are blessed? We are blessed beyond measure because Abba Father fulfills His promise to never leave/forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6, 8; Joshua 1:5; Hebrews 13:5c)? Can you testify that The Lord has never left nor forsaken you? There is a song by Clay Evans entitled “I’ve Got a Testimony” which speaks to the assertion that you/we are blessed. Check out the lyrics: “As I look back over my life, And I think things over I can truly say that I've been blessed; I've got a testimony… Sometimes I couldn't see my way through, But the Lord, He brought me out, Right now I'm free, I've got the victory, I've got a testimony… The Lord has been good to me, He placed my feet on higher ground, He picked me up and turned me around, He woke me up this morning and He started me on my way, GOD has been good to me, One day He set me free, You know He picked me up and turned me around, He brought me a long way, I gotta tell somebody GOD has been good to me, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed, I have a testimony…” Yes, I believe we each have a testimony regarding how good The Lord has been (and still is) to us! We can, certainly, look at how He has (and is) blessing our congregation here in the Southside church of Christ! Surely, we can attest to being blessed collectively and individually by The Lord, and by our church family members. Hallelujah!

With the world, and people all around us being in visible turmoil, destitution, fear, anger, anguish etcetera, we can agree with The Lord’s written Word that they need us to exhibit and to speak about the hope and comfort GOD grants us daily. Our examples of compassion and unadulterated love will serve them well causing them to experience the same hope and love that we have through Christ (Isaiah 61:1-3)! Can you see/visualize a great atmosphere of ‘rejoicing’ when the world around us gets to experience and lie in Christ’s faith, love, sharing, prosperity, freedom, growing in Grace and community? This way, they start testifying, and we continue testifying, of the goodness and safety in GOD … Glorifying The Lord over and over throughout 2023 into 2024, and forever! REJOICE, THE LORD IS GOOD TO US AND WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE!
