AN INTERPRETED CONCEPT OF GOD’S LIVE-ABLE JOY By Sis. Ricki Fuller In a ‘prayer’ article penned by Marie Chapian in her book Thank You, Jesus, she so eloquently writes: “Thank You, Jesus for the courage to live as I was meant to live. Today I’m partnering with You as I live my beautiful life. My true being is in You. Thank You for converting a shrunken personal world into Your vast, endless eternity of delights.

Thank You for converting my selfish human will for the glories of Your perfect, omnipotent will. Thank You for holding out Your hand to me each time I struggle against temptation. Thank You for calling me to enter my true identity, the one You formed before I was in my mother’s womb. You called me, named me and loved me from the moment You first thought of me.” Marie ends that prayer with Psalm 139:13 from the New Living Translation version of

the Bible: “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Christ-Siblings, the second part of this month’s theme which states that in our rejoicing in The Lord, we are to gain and garner the “understanding that He Is responsible for all we have accomplished or achieved.” Marie Chapian’s article really makes this point in this month’s theme quite plausible. Proof positive, she chose Psalm 139:13 where we are reminded to understand Psalm 100:3 which alludes that it is GOD Who intentionally made us with purpose to live joyously and courageously in Him. This is corroborated in Ecclesiastes 12:13b (EASY version) which states we are to: “Respect [esteem/admire] God and obey his commands. That is God's purpose for all people.” The ESV version relates “this is the whole duty of man” “to fear GOD and to keep His commands.” Well, it just stands to reason, don’t you think, that if we/people truly believe that GOD created/developed/thought of us all prior to the foundation of the world that we/people should recognize/agree that He knows what’s best for us – for His creation? This is, particularly, supported by the Scriptures found in Genesis 1:26-27 and Ephesians 1:4-5. Thus, GOD’s Live-able Joy can best be surmised and/or carried out as, we, His people follow His desires for us to live with the knowledge that He Is our ‘all wise’ and ‘all present’ and ‘all powerful’ Father. We can best live for Him by being continually thankful and joyful in the Love and Grace He tenders upon us on a daily basis. Let’s continue to study His word so we may believe/understand that GOD does have purpose for us right here right now. That purpose is to love Him, to love ourselves (because He made us special in our own individual ways), and to love others (particularly as we truly love ourselves). Take time to grow your GOD-given concept of Live-able Joy! So be it!
