My first iN SYnC report, and I would like to

thank the warm welcome received, not only from all volunteers, but Members, Management, the Board, and the Committee over the past 4 weeks.

We have all been on a rocky road with Covid-19 however, I’m excited to say, the first day back sailing after months of

nothing, our Volunteers were lined up ready and able wanting to be rostered on to do what they do best, give support and keep our sailors safe and sound. It is amazing the benefits we receive from

Volunteering, especially in these Covid times.

Volunteering, especially on the water, has proven to help counteract the effects

of stress and anxiety by delivering and increasing self-confidence and provides a sense of self purpose, let alone the physical attributes, so in saying this we welcome anyone who would like to offer

their time or if you know of someone that you believe could benefit from

Volunteering please feel free to contact myself.

In the coming months we will be organising various courses from Power Boat Handling to VHF Radio courses and our own in-house training program that is being developed which will deliver to our volunteer’s additional skills and water knowledge.

We are all excited with the many sailing events coming up over the next few months so please keep your Team App updated and feel free to browse the Sailing Calendar located on our website under “On The Water”.
