Introduction

It’s Summer Camp time, SouthLake! We are so excited to announce our schedule for the 2025 season. With a variety of over 60 camps this year for every age group possible, we are sure to have something that will suit your child’s needs, interests, and even possibly find them a new passion, activity or hobby. From art to academics, sports to STEM, and music to jewelry making, we are aiming to meet the needs of all of our families this year. We are adding value to our camp program this year with field trips, bigger productions and exhibitions, and the best of the best with regard to camp leaders and instructors.

Come join us for afternoons of SOAR! Our Skill, Outdoor, Adventure, Recreational camp is geared specifically for our little Eagles, grades JK - 1st grade. This camp is an excellent selection for an afternoon of organized playtime, game time, friend time, and getting the wiggles out time.

Step onto the mat and unlock your potential at Wrestling Camp. This camp, led by Naval Academy alumni John Russ, is designed for beginners and intermediate athletes eager to learn the fundamentals of this contact sport. Your young camper will learn correct stance, takedowns, holds, and proper technique.

This camp is perfect for players of all levels of Chess. Campers will be exposed to engaging lessons, strategic gameplay, and personalized coaching to improve their skills. This week will culminate in a chess tournament that Bobby Fischer would be proud of!

Join us for the action-packed Gymnastics Camp, where fun, fitness, and skill-building come together. Designed for gymnasts of all levels, our camp offers expert coaching in a supportive and energetic environment. Campers will enhance their flexibility, strength, and coordination while mastering skills on bars, beam, and floor.

It’s time to swing into action at Baseball Summer Camp. Perfect for players of all skill levels, varsity coach Cheron Farley will focus on developing fundamental baseball techniques, including hitting, pitching, fielding, base running, and teamwork.

Pokemon Go will be a time of light exercise and virtual fun. We will explore our campus here at SLCA both inside and outside with the possibility of taking some of our fun off campus! Step into a magical world at Fairytale Fun Camp, where imagination comes to life Perfect for young adventurers who love stories, creativity, and play, this enchanting camp brings classic fairytales to life through storytelling, arts and crafts, dress-up days, and themed games.

Get ready to cheer, jump, and show your spirit at Cheer Camp. Designed for aspiring cheerleaders of all skill levels, this camp focuses on building cheerleading fundamentals such as stunts, tumbling, jumps, cheers, and chants.

Get ready for an action-packed week at Co-Ed Basketball Camp, where boys and girls come together to improve their basketball skills in a fun and supportive environment, led by our very own varsity coaching staff.

In this camp, we will be building our own bucket drums and other percussion instruments. We will learn different rhythm styles, participate in drumming circles using different drum sets, and have music play-alongs. At the end of the week, we will perform a half-time show during our afternoon basketball camp exhibition game.

Kickstart a fun and exciting journey of learning at Camp Kindergarten. This camp is designed for young children entering kindergarten at SouthLake, whether a returning student or new to our school altogether. This is an amazing opportunity to learn the ropes, while offering a warm and welcoming environment where they can build social skills, enhance early learning, and develop a love for school.

Moving from kindergarten to the big building of 1st grade can be a pretty big transition, which is why we’re happy to be including this 1st grade bootcamp. In this camp, your rising 1st graders will get introduced to their new building, classrooms, teachers and way of life as they make this move into life with the “big kids!”

Get ready for a fun-filled, action-packed week at 2nd Grade Bootcamp, designed to help students gear up for their year by building confidence, focus, and learning new skills. Out 4th grade teachers will take these students and get them ready for this final year before full blown adolescence takes over. They will introduce them to new academic concepts, as well as getting them ready to be those students that all of our little ones will be looking up to in this final year before they become middle school kiddos! Are you ready to play? Music that is! This camp has been designed to be a small band ensemble to learn and play "pep band" tunes and short unison melodies to play at home football games in the Fall.
