West Street home. The driver of the SUV, Rocco Lucente Jr., was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to the severity of the damage to the vehicle, police say. According to witnesses, Lucente was going north on West Street and the driver of the Malibu was headed west to the intersection at Pros-

pect Street. The Malibu sideswiped the SUV, causing it to roll over onto the opposite lane. The accident remained under investigation last week. West Street was closed in the vicinity of the crash as emergency crews at the accident scene. The road reopened at about 6:30 p.m. — Mary Ellen Godin
