Summer reading program
Candace Carbone of Kensington and Frederick Carbone of Southington proudly announce the engagement of their son, Matthew John Carbone to Natalie Mireya Chehouri, both residents of Florida. Matthew holds a Bachelor of science in business administration, marketing minor from the University of South Florida and is the Clinic Director of Ideal Image in Tampa. Natalie is currently an elementary education major, English minor, at the University of South Florida in Tampa. A March 10, 2012, wedding is planned in Florida.

Join the Southington Library and Museum’s Summer Reading Program has begun. Children who are residents of Southington are eligible to join the program, which includes special events and a weekly prize for reading. The theme is “A Journey to Mythica.” Later this the summer, children may register to take a ride on the Roaming Railroad, visit with Riverside Reptiles, take part in a pint-sized circus, test their knowledge of the best selling series Percy Jackson & the Olympians, see a production of Treasure Island, play bingo and more. Tweens who join the summer reading program will once again receive a free
