Fourth-grade Derynoski Elementary School Troop 66293 donated several boxes of Girl Scout cookies to Hospital Corpsman 1st Class David Sauer’s troop in Kandahar, Afghanistan. After the cookie donation, Sauer spent time with the girls teaching them exercises used in the Navy. Sauer recently returned to his hometown of Southington after serving in Afghanistan for seven months. He resides in Asheville, N.C.
