Leos serve up sodas...
Members of the Leos Club, the youth division of the Elmhurst Lions, came out on Saturday to serve soft drinks during Lions Club Pizza Day. They are (from left): Courtney Jopes, Rachel Lezak, Matt Fanelli and Catie McCarty. The annual event took place at Sandburg Middle School.
At the door...
Two hungry guests buy tickets at the door from members of the Elmhurst Lions Club on Pizza Day held Saturday, March 3 at Sandburg School. Ticket-takers include (from left): Marie Straube, Jeri DePasquale and Shirley Wodynski.
Three-time winner!
Adelaide Neelen, 8, received three different prizes at the Lions Club Pizza Day on Saturday, March 3. She is all-smiles as she shows off her karaoke microphone, a sling-shot launcher set and a bucket of art supplies.
Winner of the boy’s bike
Finnegan Bohn is all smiles as he tries out the boy’s bicycle he won at the Elmhurst Lions Club Pizza Day on Saturday, March 3. His grandfather is a member of the Elmhurst Lions. Finnegan is going to be 8 years old next Saturday.
Look what I got!

Barbie is a S.T.E.M. student!
With every school engaging in S.T.E.M. activities, that is, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, it’s only appropriate that these two Barbie dolls clearly studied their S.T.E.M. curriculum as well! Won by Ellie Munson, who is 5. One Barbie is an astronaut, the other is a space scientist. (Some guests at Lions Club Pizza Day recalled when Barbie was either a nurse, a stewardess or a fashion model!)
Prizes are the best part of Pizza Day!
