On Monday, October 28th, the social committee will drive through the neighborhood and judge front porches and yards that are decorated for the season. There will be four categories: Spookiest, Kid-friendly, Most Unique, as well as Cozy Fall Decor. Be sure to have your outdoor items lit up as we will start driving the neighborhood around 7 o ’clock. Gift cards will be awarded to the winners for each category.
On Thursday, October 31st, we will meet at the River House deck for Pizza and our annual costume judging contest. There will be prizes for various ages and categories. Lola’s margarita truck will be in the cottages on Halloween from 5:30 - 8:30.

We hope that everyone is doing well and recovering from the terrible hurricane that we had come through our beautiful community a few weeks ago. River Island sustained a lot of downed trees near the River House and around the board walk. We are fortunate that there was no major damage to any of the homes in the neighborhood. It is devastating riding around the area and seeing some of the neighborhoods and homes that were completely destroyed. Please note cleanup is ongoing in River Island and will be for a while. So please be very careful when you are out walking around the neighborhood.
