Laura’s Little Film Company Laura is a local mum of three, with a background in advertising. She set up a videography company as she developed a love of filming her own children when they were little. She is passionate about capturing moments on film and believes it’s the best way to truly pocket a memory. She makes little day-in-the-lifeof films around people’s homes (or in a park) spending time with the children in their happy place, capturing them playing, eating, going for a walk anything they like to do! The footage is then set to music of your choice, and can be shared with anyone you like. These films make lovely gifts for family members, especially grandparents if they are abroad. Laura takes great care in putting both the children and parents at ease when she comes to film. She also works a lot in nurseries and schools, making lovely end-of-year films with whole year groups. Gift vouchers make lovely Christmas presents for parents - the gift of creating a memory to last forever! Laura is offering 10% off for bookings made or gift vouchers bought during November/December/ January if you quote Primary Times. Take a look at her website lauraslittlefilmcompany.co.uk and do get in touch!

Have a ball this festive season as the Fairy Godmother of all pantomimes, Cinderella, arrives at Richmond Theatre from Friday 3 December to Sunday 2 January. Leading the cast, in his pantomime debut, is the King of Ballroom Anton Du Beke as Buttons who is best known for his role on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Quick-witted and known for his sartorial style, Anton has become a household name through regular television appearances as a host and guest on prime time television and is one of the most instantly recognisable figures in the world of ballroom dance today. Anton was most recently announced as a judge for this year’s Strictly and is now ready to put his dancing skills to the test at Prince Charming’s Royal Ball! Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients audiences expect, Cinderella is a laugh-out-loud comedy, with stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses. How Social Activities Benefit Children’s Development

Childhood is a key time for developing lifelong skills and abilities. One area that really helps children to learn and develop new skills is social playtime. This can include a wide range of activities from sports to performing arts. It covers anything that requires children to work together to play. Social playtime helps children to learn and develop many skills that will be vital as they become adults and will continue to benefit them throughout their lives. Some of the key ways social playtime helps children develop is by improving social skills, building confidence and developing children’s emotional intelligence. It also encourages teamwork and introduces the concept of friendly competition. At Jigsaw Performing Arts Schools your child can benefit from improving all of these skills through dance, drama and singing. Book your two week trial at www.jigsaw-arts.co.uk to discover if it is the right activity for your child.
