Drug Dealing (and Dealers) in Boston This is the eighth article in South Boston Online’s series on the drug crisis in South Boston, our entire City, and across the whole Commonwealth. Clearly, such weapons aren’t just for show. To illustrate the dangers that drug dealing causes, here’s another example: Last year in Boston, a successful “bust”, triggered by an informant, resulted in seizing marijuana, steroids, 50 grams of cocaine, and 300 grams of heroin. When the 300 grams of heroin was analyzed, it was found to contain 210 grams of fentanyl and only 90 grams of heroin. You may have heard that fentanyl is a narcotic continued on page 3
