The SUHNER Robotools For Fully Automated Manufacturing Today, most robot guided grinding and polishing machine tools are operated by air. Often, considering a 24-hour operating environment, these machines reach their limits. Frequent service interruptions, plus extremely high air consumption add to energy cost that also will affect profitability. In addition, air driven tools drop in speed when under load which can contribute to an adverse effect to the surface finish. Depending on surface quality requirements, the rotation of the grinding or polishing tool often requires clock- and counter clock rotation which an air driven tool can’t accomplish. All of these critical requirements can be met with the newly designed servo driven tools from SUHNER either in standard or orbital design version. » For more information, visit suhner-machining.com

AMADA WELD TECH INC Introduces AC Inverter Welding Power Supplies The MIB-300A and MIB-600A AC Inverter Welding Power Supplies offer increased control resulting in more exact heat input and betterquality welds as compared to traditional AC weld controls. The AC inverter uses inverter technology with pulse width modulation (PWM) to produce and simulate an AC waveform. Unlike AC welders that use line frequency and depend on well-regulated facility power, the AC inverter can produce an AC frequency from 50 Hz to 500 Hz allowing more precise energy delivery in less time, is not affected by line voltage fluctuation, and provides a balanced three phase load.

ABB Makes Manufacturing More Sustainable By Recycling and Remanufacturing Thousands of Old Robots Remanufacturing enables existing robot users to sell inactive or legacy robots to ABB with an attractive buy back service, rather than scrapping them or leaving them unused in a corner of the factory. As well as previously owned robots, peripheral equipment such as controllers and manipulators are refurbished to “like-new” conditions at one of ABB’s Global Remanufacture & Workshop Repair Centers. Each remanufactured robot can also be upgraded to the latest controller, which unlocks new functionalities such as ABB Ability Connected services or the latest version of RobotStudio®, ABB's simulation and offline programming software. » For more information, visit www.abb.com/robotics
