After the success and satisfaction of the Euro Series, it’s time for the championship raced entirely on Italian circuits to give its verdicts, for the most part still pending until the final finish-line. The great celebration of the Final Cup will then close this memorable season.

Final Cup The season’s grand finale for WSK drivers: the Final Cup is scheduled for the weekend of October 30th in Ortona (Central Italy). Participation is open to six categories: from KF1 and KZ1, home of the super-champions of international kart racing, to KF3 and 60 Mini, dedicated to the younger drivers, all the way to KF2 and KZ2, reserved for official and independent drivers. The brand new International Circuit of Abruzzo is 1,600 metres long and has already hosted several races of primary importance: here too the Final Cup is being looked to as the ideal “icing on the cake” of an extraordinary season. Like always, the cameras of the Italian TV channel Rai Sport will give live coverage of Sunday’s races.

Race Control A new WSK Promotion structure will make its debut in Viterbo: a truck featuring a monitor room connected to all 14 cameras mounted along the track. This will allow WSK Promotion to improve and refine inspection and security standards that are already excellent. The new truck will be a fixed feature of all upcoming WSK races and one of many guarantees of top reliability and expertise that WSK Promotion has always offered its drivers. Sei le categorie presenti, da KF1 e KZ1, terra dei supercampioni del karting internazionale, fino alle classi KF3 e 60 Mini, rivolte ai piloti più giovani. Non mancano KF2 e KZ2, riservate a piloti ufficiali e privati. Il Circuito Internazionale d’Abruzzo, di nuova costruzione, ha una lunghezza di 1.600 metri e ha già ospitato diverse gare di primaria importanza; la Final Cup si pone, anche per lui, come ideale “ciliegina sulla torta” di una stagione straordinaria. Anche in quest’occasione non mancheranno le telecamere di Rai Sport, la rete televisiva italiana, che trasmetterà in diretta tutte le gare di domenica.

WSK Promotion is the first organiser to have opened the International scene for drivers in the 60 Mini, creating a dedicated high level championship in which the very young can race and gain experience in view of making the leap to international categories (KF3 and then KF2). In WSK races, championship standings are not kept for drivers in the 60 Mini, according to Article 18 of the International Sporting Code, but at the end of the year the best will be given an award at the WSK Gran Galà, the annual gala dinner that celebrates the winning drivers and teams of the WSK Series.

Good to know... The scoring system: Final 1 (KZ1/2) and Prefinal (KF2/KF3), from first to twelfth position: 35, 20, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
