WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MENTOR

We seek individuals who are professional, able to commit their time, in good legal and social standing, and who also have the ability to exercise cultural competence.

Listed below are the various mentorship opportunities

Son of a Saint offers:

ONE-ON-ONE MENTORSHIP

Engages one mentee and one mentor; there is an organic pairing process to support this model.

TEAM/GROUP MENTORSHIP

Engages any ratio of mentees to mentors; it helps mentors and mentees form group relationships.

ACADEMIC MENTORSHIP

Support for success in school; they serve as a tutor, study buddy, or accountability partner.

CAREER MENTORSHIP

Supports career development programming; they serve as an employer, career coach, or job shadowing/internship site coordinator.

ACTIVITIES MENTORSHIP/CLUB ADVISORS

Creates a small community of mentees that connect over a planned event or common interest; they lead projects and events to foster robust programming.

STAFF MENTORSHIP

Supported by a Son of a Saint staff member through roles and responsibilities.
