In 2021, my son Káron and I experienced the true meaning of genuine compassion. Upon being accepted into the Son of a Saint program, I was struggling with grief and the shock of suddenly being a protective single mother. My number one priority was ensuring Káron’s wellbeing. After hearing countless words of encouragement, along with the positive influence from ALL Son of a Saint staff members, I knew I made the right decision. My son Káron is in excellent capable hands to assist him in maturing from a quiet boy to a confident young man.

Every staff member has embraced both me and my son with love. Within a year, Káron benefited from financial literacy education workshops, study hall, tutoring, acceptance to the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program summer camp, and exposure to cultural events both locally and out of state, including make the AAU traveling basketball ball team. He was selected as Mentee of the Month in May 2022, and chosen as 2022 Mentee of the Year! To witness a complete 180-degree change in Káron humbles me and gives me a sense of security. I am eternally grateful and blessed to have Son of a Saint as my extended family.
