Models, designers and vendors from India, various US states and locals showcased the latest trends in Indian designer wear from casual, to ceremonial garments won the hearts of the guests. Fashion Week event here in Cerritos. The main event which featured multiple vendor booths and four fashion shows, commenced with Smita Vasant, Mayor Ali Sajjad Taj, and Shaila Patankar kicking off the show. Both Taj and Patankar welcomed the premier designers, branded stores and jewelry owners to their city and thanked Vasant for her efforts. Upcoming singer from LA, Sanjana Deshmukh, kicked off the first fashion show with a solo mashup of “Jiya Re” from the Bollywood movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan,’and Michael Jackson songs with her guitar and vocals, followed by models walking the ramp showcasing label ‘Voila by designer Roma Bhalla’, Sari Palace
by designer Heeral Mehta, Namaslay by designer Avnee Mithaiwala and various designer collection by local boutiques: Frontier Heritage and Aanchal Designer Showcase.
