Song:Expo 2022 17th-27th of October 2022

Welcome.

We are immensely happy to welcome everyone in person attending Trondheim Song:Expo 2022. Finally, we can collaborate, network and enjoy each other’s company being physically present.

We are proud to gather 100 creators during our national, nordic and international camp who will collaborate for ten days and write new global hit songs. Song:Expo has so far accumulated billions of streams, multi-million physical sales, numerous top 5 hits, various chart No. 1’s, including Billboard No. 1 placements and several award nominations from releases of material written at the previous camps. More than 100 songs have been recorded and released with international artists such as Super M, Namie Amuro, Red Velvet, TWICE, EXO, Super Junior, NCT and LOONA. National artists such as Marcus & Martinus, Alejandro Fuentes, Ynga, Frøder, CLM, Liza Vazillieva and the list goes on.

Song:Expo started as a crazy dream by inviting some of the world’s best creators to the city of Trondheim, pursuing to secure export of Norwegian creators and their songs globally. To accomplish this we broke down international music barriers by making Trondheim the host of the biggest songwriting camp in the world, and created something extraordinary and out-of-the-box. After researching the global music industry, it was obvious that collaborations, co-writes, networking, believing in yourself, practicing in the studio over and over again is the only way to succeed.

The purpose of Song:Expo is to engage, inspire, educate and fuel creativity and cultural exchange. Guiding and mentoring creators, share international network, hone their talents, giving everyone the opportunity to take their craft and skills to the next level. After ten years, Song:Expo is still as important as when we started in 2011. We will continue to break down barriers, and provide young and upcoming creators a chance to succeed globally.

Song:Expo is a non-exclusive and neutral songwriting camp made to bring creators from all over the world together. Everyone is given an equal opportunity to be recognized. We provide a safe environment, a space to

embrace creativity, collaborations and new relationships. Song:Expo is actively involved and concerned about equality, encouraging multiculturalism and being gender neutral. We embrace creativity, inspire and nurture artistic expression.

We work closely together with our partners and sponsors to make sure Song:Expo is a high quality event. A big thank you goes to the everyone who made this year’s camp possible – Music Norway, TONO, Musikkforleggerne, Trondheim Municipality, Trøndelag Fylkeskommune, Møre og Romsdal Fylkeskommune, Arts Council of Norway, Masterchannel, HiFi Klubben, 4sound, EKKO Music Rights, SPARWK and Dsign Music.
