Song:Expo 2024
17th - 24th of October 2024
17th - 24th of October 2024
Greetings and a warm welcome to the 14th edition of Trondheim Song:Expo! It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome you all to Trondheim Song:Expo 2024. We’re excited to be surrounded by the incredible energy of collaboration, creativity, and connection that makes this event so special.
This year, we are thrilled to host some of the world’s most brilliant creators, both local and international, for a full week of songwriting magic. Over the next eight days, these talented minds will come together to craft what we hope will be tomorrow’s global chart-toppers.
The journey of Song:Expo has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our efforts have resulted in billions of streams, multi-million physical sales, and countless top 5 hits, including Billboard No. 1 placements and multiple award nominations. Over 100 songs that were born here at our camp have been recorded and released by major international acts like Super M, Namie Amuro, Red Velvet, TWICE, EXO, Super Junior, NCT, and LOONA. We’ve also seen great success with national stars like Marcus & Martinus, Alejandro Fuentes, Ynga, Frøder, CLM, and Liza Vazillieva, just to name a few.
What began as a bold idea to export Norwegian talent to the world has evolved into a groundbreaking movement. Trondheim is now home to the world’s largest songwriting camp—an achievement that many once thought impossible. Our research into the global music industry reinforced what we knew in our hearts: success lies in collaboration, co-writing, networking, belief in oneself, and the relentless pursuit of creativity in the studio.
Song:Expo’s mission is as powerful as ever: to engage, inspire, and empower creators. We’re here to foster creativity and cultural exchange, offering guidance, mentorship, and access to an international network. Our goal is to elevate talent, refine skills, and spark the next wave of global hits. After more than a decade, Song:Expo continues to break new ground, opening doors for both seasoned and emerging creators alike.
This camp is a celebration of diversity and inclusion, designed to welcome creators from every corner of the globe. We provide a safe, collaborative space where all voices are heard, and all talents are recognized. At Song:Expo, we champion equality, embrace multiculturalism, and uphold gender neutrality, ensuring that creativity flourishes in every form.
A huge thank you to our incredible partners and sponsors, whose support makes this event possible. Special recognition goes to Sparebank 1 Sparebankstiftelsen SMN, TONO, Music Norway, Trondheim Municipality, Trøndelag Fylkeskommune, Arts Council of Norway, KREATION Music Rights, and Dsign Music.
As we embark on this creative journey together, let’s remember that we’re united by a shared love for music and a drive to amplify its reach across the globe. Welcome to Trondheim Song:Expo 2024—let’s make magic happen!

It is not just the team that helps make the Song:Expo camp - to be able to do Song:expo we rely on funds and cooperations with these great companies who support us and our vision to gather the greatest songwriters we know.
Tempo is a Norwegian Music Centre working with and for musicians, artists, songwriters and producers as well as technicians, promoters, labels, publishers, agents and managers in Mid-Norway.
This is done through seminars and workshops, consulting and distribution of information about the music industry. Throughout the year Tempo organizes more than 40 one-day seminars and spends more than 100 hours in one-to-one meetings consulting people in the music industry.
In addition to this Tempo is behind several large-scale projects; most importantly Trondheim Song:Expo, Musikkbyen Trondheim, Musikkontoret.no and contributes to the conference program at Trondheim Calling.
The past years the Song:Expo camp has found place in Fjordgata. As of 2020 we moved to the new studio wing at Musikkbyen. Musikkbyen is a hub for the music industry in Trondheim, where the companies and organizations have their own office spaces and co-working space.
We are proud to finally be able to host Song:Expo in the brand new studios and the great office hub that has been founded at the docks of Trondheim.
Welcome!
