Cheers!

Dear friend!
It's a special time in someone's life to celebrate and plan a wedding! Seventeen years ago, Jordan and I opened Something New with a heart for helping brides and their families make a memorable and meaningful experience shopping for their special day. We want to make sure every person who walks through the doors at Something New feels served, celebrated, and deeply cared for — that's our team's focus.
Now, are you ready to find the most beautiful and special gown you will ever wear during our one-of-a-kind shopping experience with a specialized bridal stylist? Each of the gowns you will see in our collection have been carefully selected and crafted with you in mind. Every one of our dresses is constructed from the finest fabrics to flatter your figure and have you look and feel your best on your wedding day.
We have been told time and time again that not only do our brides love our dresses, but even more, they love the way we take care of them in our store...where life's worth celebrating! As the owner of Something New, I want to personally invite you to schedule a visit or come on into our store and let us show you what it means to be a "Something New Bride".
Looking forward to meeting you,
Mindi Linscombe
Mindi Linscombe, owner of Something New in Colorado Springs, Colorado, knows what it is like to be disappointed as a bride.
Her frustrating experience led her and her husband, Jordan, to open their store to create a better experience for brides and to ensure that no other bride would go through what she did.
“When I searched for my own bridal gown for my wedding, it started off as a very disappointing experience,” says Mindi. “Many of the places I went treated me like a number or blatantly cared more about their dresses than they did me,
a real customer standing there in the store. I eventually found my gown, but had to go to great lengths — even out of state — to find the experience for which I had hoped.”
Since Something New opened in 2008, thousands of brides all across the country have flocked to the beautiful store. Brides tell us that they come not only for a beautiful and quality gown in a stunning setting, but for the “Something New experience.”
Brides come to Something New rather than somewhere else because they know they will be celebrated, treated with personal attention, and find exactly what they want for their big day.
“My experience at Something New was amazing,” bride Christy says. “As soon as my mom and I walked in the door, they had smiling faces and were completely engaging. My consultant was wonderful and made me feel like I was the only one there. I was from out-of-state, like completely across the country, and she didn’t even flinch. When I initially tried on “my dress,” but felt I needed some time to mull it over, there was absolutely no pressure! As soon as I walked back in their doors to officially make it real, they were so excited for me. All the staff members were amazing; they worked as a team helping each other when one of them had questions. I even heard one of them say, ‘I wear my Apple Watch so when one of my brides has a question, they text me and I can get right back to them.’ Amazing customer service in my mind! Thank you for making this such a great experience!”
As a recently engaged bride, the home to Colorado’s greatest bridal experience invites you to make an appointment where you can see what brides from all over are raving about: the new and beautiful 10,000 square foot building with panoramic mountain views, elegant lighting, the personal stylists and bridal suites, and a truly celebratory shopping experience that puts the bride first.
This season, Something New’s exclusive in-house line, the Brooklyn Grace Collection, features brand new styles and fresh looks that were hand-picked by Mindi and the team. Curated by Mindi, the Brooklyn Grace Collection was inspired by the birth of her daughter, Brooklyn Grace Linscombe, born after three boys.
“Over the years, I have gleaned tremendous insight into what brides really want by going through a process of alterations and sketching gowns side by side with brides,” says Mindi. “I have used that knowledge to create this amazing collection of gowns that I would love for my own daughter to wear! This experience has allowed my team and I to put together an incredible collection of designs and styles we love, for ourselves and our own daughters.”
“Throughout the last year, my team and I have been hard at work selecting designs for the 2025 Brooklyn Grace Collection,” continues Mindi. “I know you’ll love it as much as we do. The designs are gorgeous, and the dresses are high-quality. I have worked hard to put my own unique touches on every single style.”
In addition to being a hand-selected exclusive collection, a portion of the proceeds from each dress sold from the
Brooklyn Grace Collection is donated to the Something New Foundation - a new philanthropy by Something New - allowing brides to give back to some incredible causes. The Something New Foundation primarily focuses on giving away scholarship money to brides that are leaders in our community – each year donating thousands of dollars to provide assistance to their education.
Something New has also partnered with Lighthouse Family Retreat, which supports families going through childhood cancer, and also Children’s Hospital Colorado, one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation — both of which have a special personal connection with the Something New family.
“I am so blessed to have been able to contribute to and be part of the missions of these organizations,” says Mindi. “We’re excited to be able to give back to such noble causes that also deeply supported my own family years ago."
Something New invites you to learn more about causes we support and our story at www.somethingnewboutique. com/we-support.
The 2025 Brooklyn Grace Collection will feature a wonderful balance of classic looks, destination gown options, and daring yet elegant gowns with cathedral-length trains and hand beading.
“After my daughter was born, I kept thinking about the fact that every bride is someone’s daughter,” says Mindi. “I want the very best for my own daughter, and I wanted this collection to reflect that. Every bride, every daughter, deserves to feel so loved, treasured, and special on their day.”
There are many amazing wedding professionals who have worked hard to help tell the Brooklyn Grace story! The beautiful pictures of 2025 Brooklyn Grace gowns you see in this magazine are the result of a hand-picked team of incredible talent. Tina Joiner Photography worked with us to create these amazing images, and Creekside Terrace by Wedgewood Weddings & Events provided the beautiful location.
Mindi invites you to come and see this stunning collection in person.
The Brooklyn Grace Collection pulls from Mindi’s personal experience in being a bride and her experience working with so many wonderful brides at Something New, carefully listening to what brides of all ages and body types want for their big day. To see the new line, please call us or visit online to schedule your appointment!
“I can hardly wait for you to come in to see these new looks on you and your friends,” says Mindi. “We look forward to
getting to know you and hearing about the current chapter of your unique wedding story. Also, if you know someone engaged, please be sure to share this story with them!”
Mindi and all the stylists at Something New find great satisfaction in helping brides find the perfect dress that will bring out their confidence and beauty. In this inaugural year, Mindi and Jordan want the Something New Foundation to support the development of others – women in particular! That is something they’re already so passionate about and living out with the Something New team each day. Every girl on the team has grown so much and continues to develop. That’s something they’re very proud of as a company! Now, they want to help other women in the community rise to the top and reach their own goals.
Mindi has always had her line of Brooklyn Grace wedding dresses give back to great causes, and she views the annual Cheers Bridal Show as a philanthropic event. It has been very special to partner with outstanding organizations (like Compassion International & Children’s Hospital Colorado) throughout the years. In this next season, she wants to give back even more directly to the community, and women and young ladies in the region. At Something New, we believe “Life’s Worth Celebrating” and this Foundation will contribute to life changing moments and development opportunities worth celebrating, as well.
The Brooklyn Grace Collection is a Something New exclusive, designed & curated by owner Mindi Linscombe–and named after her only daughter. Mindi’s heart is to care for every daughter as her own — helping them know they are special, unique, and deserving of the best. A portion of the proceeds from every dress in the line is contributed to the Something New Foundation to help with scholarship & development opportunities for women and young ladies. Brides can walk down the aisle in their beautiful Brooklyn Grace gown knowing they are helping someone in the Colorado Springs community – or across the globe – have the best opportunity to achieve their dreams and celebrate moments in life.

Shirts provide another opportunity to add character to your wedding day attire. The basic colors for shirts are white and ivory, which should be based off the bride’s wedding dress. Black shirts are rising in popularity though! Microfiber material is the most common material today providing a very smooth texture and feel and often many color options. Traditionally, the sleeve is a little longer than your jacket to allow a little sliver of the shirt and cuff links to show, but this isn’t mandatory!
The Style Of Your Wedding Will Play An Important Role In What You Choose For Your Men’s Formalwear.
Choosing the right fit for the right body type is so important. Most men nowadays opt for the Slim Fit tuxedo for a more modern and tailored look. The Traditional Fit is more boxy, and then the Ultra Slim Fit is the most trendy.
Ties come in many different styles, patterns, and colors. Bow ties are typically more classic and formal and are often a solid color. The windsor tie has become increasingly popular in recent years. Traditionally, the groom’s tie will match the color of the bridal gown or his suit, while the groomsmen’s will match the bridesmaids’ dresses. However, more grooms these days are choosing to have their tie be a pop of color as well.
The Jacket is a very important piece to your tuxedo look. The build of the groom and wedding party should be one major factor on which you base your decision. You also want to keep in mind the overall fit you’re wanting when selecting your jacket.
Cuff links and Studs give your shirt a very polished look. The style of your wedding should be kept in mind when picking out all accessories.
Peak lapel is the most most traditional. The Notch Lapel, however, is most popular and what most rentals have. The Shawl Lapel is very traditional and formal, but it’s not the best choice for rounder bodies.
Pocket Squares are a great way to add a splash of color to your tux or suit jacket. Many people match the pocket square with the tie they have chosen. Pocket squares are also a great keepsake!
Accessories put the finishing touches on your whole wedding day look. If you are going for a more casual look, you may choose to have the men in your wedding wear neither a vest nor a cummerbund. Traditionally, a cummerbund is the most formal accessory, but most menswear parties these days are opting for a vest even if the wedding is formal.
The trousers for the tuxedo jacket will be determined somewhat by the jacket you’ve selected. For example, traditional and boxy pants will not pair well with a slim fit jacket. In general, the same style and color trousers should be worn throughout the men in the wedding party.
Shoes should be the last thing you pick out. You should only pick shoes that match once you have the rest of the look all figured out.
Wear long dress socks to avoid showing any skin when you sit. A lot of men these days choose the socks to express their unique style and personality with different patterns and colors. There’s also a rising trend of noshow socks with slim fit pants.

One bride wrote in her Google review, “The natural light and stunning views made me feel so at peace during what I thought would be a stressful experience. My stylist’s kindness and the beautiful setting helped me find the perfect gown without any pressure.” Another bride shared, “I felt like a queen in my private suite. It was just me, my closest loved ones, and a stylist who truly cared about my vision. Everything about Something New made me feel special.”
This thoughtfully designed setting ensures that every detail—from the light streaming through the windows to the intimate atmosphere—enhances your ability to find a gown that truly speaks to you. Your dedicated stylist will work one-on-one with you to uncover your vision for the day and guide you toward a gown that makes you feel amazing inside and out. Whether it’s joy, relief, or even a few tears of happiness, our team is here to share in those emotions and celebrate with you.
But the emotional journey doesn’t start or end in the fitting room. Many brides feel overwhelmed by the pressure to find the perfect dress and worry about pleasing family and friends.
Here are some tips to help you prepare for a positive and memorable experience:
Before your appointment, think about the overall vibe and style of your wedding. Is it classic and elegant? Rustic and romantic? Modern and chic? This will help your stylist guide you to gowns that align with your vision.
While it’s tempting to bring a large group, too many opinions can make the process more stressful. Choose a few trusted loved ones whose input you truly value.
Be Open-Minded:
Many brides find that the dress they fall in love with isn’t what they initially envisioned. Trust your stylist to present options that might surprise you in the best way.
Knowing your budget ahead of time helps narrow down choices and avoids disappointment. Be honest about your budget with your stylist so they can tailor the experience to your needs.
At Something New, we add special touches to make your appointment unforgettable. With surprise moments of delight and celebratory touches for you and your party, the process of saying “yes” becomes an unforgettable memory. Thousands of brides have experienced this magic over our 17 years in business, and we’d love for you to be next. Book your appointment today and let us help you find not just a dress, but a moment you’ll cherish forever.
In the age of Instagram and Pinterest, wedding dress inspiration is everywhere. While this can be exciting, it can also leave brides feeling overwhelmed by endless options and pressure to find the “perfect” dress. At *Something New*, we help brides cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters: finding a gown that feels right for them.
Social media can be both a blessing and a curse. It’s easy to fall in love with a dress online, only to find that it doesn’t quite suit your body type, venue, or personal style.
Here are some tips for navigating the world of wedding dress inspiration:
Take a Break: Be Open to Surprise: 1 2 3 4
Curate Your Inspiration:
Focus on images that resonate with your vision rather than trying to match trends.
Prioritize Fit Over Fantasy:
A dress may look stunning on a model, but the true test is how it makes YOU feel. Trust your stylist to find a gown that flatters you.
At Something New, our expert stylists specialize in guiding brides who feel overloaded by social media. With personalized one-on-one appointments in private suites, we provide a calm, curated environment where you can step away from the digital chaos and focus on your vision. One bride wrote, “I was overwhelmed by Pinterest before my appointment, but my stylist helped me refocus and find a gown that truly felt like me.” Our exclusive Brooklyn Grace collection, available only at Something New, offers designs you won’t find anywhere else, ensuring your dress is as unique as your love story.
Step away from social media before your appointment to clear your mind and focus on your own preferences. Sometimes the gown you fall in love with isn’t the one you saved on Pinterest— and that’s okay!
Combine this with our celebration moments and picturesque mountain views, and you have an experience that allows you to enjoy the journey without the overwhelm. With over 4,600 glowing reviews, brides rave about how Something New helped them find clarity and confidence. Book your appointment today and let us help you turn inspiration into reality.
“Top 5 things I Loved Most About My Wedding!”
The culmination of my lifelong dream – marrying my dearest friend while adorned in a custom bridal gown by Mindi at Something New – was further enhanced by the selection of an ideal officiant. Familial bonds constitute a significant source of enrichment in one's life. However, the privilege of having one's sibling officiate their wedding ceremony elevates this familial connection to a profound and deeply personal level. While the breathtaking backdrop of the Colorado Rockies at Spruce Mountain Ranch undoubtedly contributed to the wedding's unique ambiance, a particularly poignant highlight was witnessing my brother actively participate in the solemn act of establishing the marital union to my best friend.
As a couple we sought to imbue our wedding with the spirit of our vivacious and exploratory partnership. A key element in achieving this was a playful surprise orchestrated by his new bride. What the groom initially anticipated as a traditional first-look encounter with his blushing bride instead unveiled a whimsical presentation of a series of festively adorned 'beverage burritos.' This unexpected gesture served to infuse the entire evening with an atmosphere of lighthearted merriment.
Extensive pre-wedding planning afforded us ample time to meticulously consider our inaugural dance. Recognizing our extroverted personalities, we eschewed the traditional, subdued first dance in favor of a more dynamic performance. To this end, we invested considerable time and effort in choreographing an elaborate routine. A celebratory dance ensued beneath the illuminated marquee letters from Alpha Lit, bearing our newly adopted family name, Di Lalla. The culmination of these endeavors resulted in an unforgettable first dance that we hope to show our children one day.

As culinary enthusiasts, a paramount objective for our wedding was to curate a festive and abundant culinary experience for our guests. To this end, Biscuits and Berries masterfully orchestrated a diverse selection, ranging from a tomahawk steak carving station and a fry station, to a made-toorder bananas foster and late-night indulgence of Nashville hot chicken tots. Peak Beverage ensured an uninterrupted flow of refreshments throughout the evening, featuring a margarita bar and espresso martinis expertly served from the charming camper bars provided by Sugarmoon Mobile Bars. The elegant aesthetic was further enhanced by the vibrant balloon displays graciously provided by Hello Sunshine.
Hailing from a military lineage and establishing our own within the U.S. Space Force, we felt a profound responsibility to honor the legacy of those who have valiantly secured our liberties. The inclusion of symbolic elements such as a saber arch, formal military attire for all attendees, a poignant 'missing man table,' and a stirring military serenade provided immense satisfaction as we witnessed the genuine appreciation of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
I had 18 women in my bridal party, which I KNOW sounds crazy, but those 18 women are truly so special to me and my husband Hunter, that I couldn’t imagine my biggest day without each of them by my side. We spent the morning in our beautiful bridal suite, listening to the rain (and praying it would pass), laughing, telling old stories, and getting glammed together. It was truly such a peaceful morning with the women who made me who I am today.special than we ever could have planned..
This one I’m sure is on every bride's list, but me and my husband chose not to do a first look, so this moment of him seeing me for the first time as a bride (and his almost wife) will be seared into my memory forever. Walking down the aisle with my dad, passing all our loved ones, and smiling at Hunter (& our dog) the entire time is a moment in time I wish I could bottle up and relive over & over.
This part of the evening was unexpectedly one of my absolute favorites! We chose to do our grand entrance at the top of the grand staircase with cold sparks and the Kentucky football theme song playing as we descended down to the party! It was in that moment, looking out over all our guests that I could really take the time to appreciate how lucky we were to have so many friends and family who traveled so far to celebrate our marriage. Your wedding day is the ONE day in your life where all your loved ones are under the same roof and our entrance was the most loved and supported I have ever felt!

Growing up and still being a dancer, I knew I wanted to incorporate a moment in the night that included all my past & current teammates while entertaining my guests! To kick off the dance floor for the evening we performed my college fight song with my University of Kentucky teammates, followed by Thunderstruck with my Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders teammates, finished by our touchdown dance with my Denver Broncos Cheerleaders teammates! This was such a special part of the night that was so unique to my dance journey & the women I danced with through the years that became my very best friends!
5
At sunset our photographer pulled us away from our guests for a few minutes to capture the most breathtaking photos at sunset featuring a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains. The photos I will cherish forever, but that pocket of quiet and alone time as newly husband and wife was exactly what we needed to soak in the evening and pause to reflect on the fact our forever was officially beginning!
One of the most memorable aspects of my wedding was how seamlessly it blended the old and the new. The day began with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony, honoring our heritage and family traditions. Later, we transitioned into a modern celebration with chic designs and contemporary details, creating a beautiful balance that felt uniquely “us.”
The neck veil was the showstopper of my bridal look, adding the perfect amount of drama and elegance to my Something New dress. As soon as I chose the dress, I knew it needed a bold statement piece, and the neck veil tied everything together flawlessly. It added just the right amount of “oomph” and had everyone talking!
The food was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding, catered by The Peached Tortilla in Austin. Their creative blend of Southern and Asian-inspired cuisine was a huge hit with our guests, who couldn’t stop raving about the flavors. From the elegant miso cod to the late-night ramen bar and the fun ice cream and cookie bar, every bite was unforgettable and kept people talking long after the night ended!
4
Music has always been important to me, so I personally curated Spotify playlists for each part of the wedding. From the tea ceremony to the reception, every moment had its own mood and energy thanks to the music I chose. Working with the DJ to bring my playlists to life ensured the day felt personal and perfectly matched our vibe.

MY HUSBAND IN HIS WHITE TUX
My husband looked absolutely dashing in his white tux, a nod to his father’s wedding day style. Seeing him carry on that tradition while making it his own was so meaningful to me. He looked so confident and handsome, and it was a special detail that made the day even more unforgettable.elegant celebration.
1
SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH MY FAVORITE PEOPLE
As a military family, it has been difficult to spend time and cherish relationships due to permanent change of stations. The wedding was a perfect opportunity to bring the people who we cherish the most together and have an opportunity to celebrate the gift of life and love.
2
HAVING AN INTENTIONAL OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE LOVE AND MARRIAGE AFTER A LIFE CHANGING MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS/PROCEDURE
It was a dream come true to have a day that was fully set aside to celebrate me, my husband and our marriage. Due to my medical diagnosis the opportunity to celebrate love and the person who held everything together is a full testament to the vows we took 12 years ago through sickness and in health. It brought our family and friends together from coast to coast and those we have picked up along the way as a military family, and it meshed amazingly.his face when he saw me was something that will be engrained in my thoughts forever.

HAVING SUCH AN ATTENTIVE WEDDING COORDINATOR
Despite my medical limitations having Katie Waite create a magical fairy tale was a dream come true. She graciously coordinated every facet that was difficult for me to verbalize, and it flowed beautifully. The way that Katie was able to bring peace and a sense of calm was such a blessing.with my best friend!
BEAUTIFUL
From the color scheme, to my jaw dropping gown and all the intricate details — the wedding was made for the books. It was truly a winter wonderland. I truly felt like a princess!

The location had such a deep meaning because Colorado was our first duty station. It captivated the ambiance and beauty of colorful Colorado through such a diverse topographical location. All of the vendors truly captivated and understood the assignment that Katie shared in a magical and magnificent way. From the glimpses of snow capped mountains, to the glimmer of lights on the venue to every intricate detail with candle lights and an array of flowers, it was like a beautiful botanical garden in an amazing space.
ANNA
Sean and I wanted our wedding day to feel relaxed and joyful, so we made the decision to keep our ceremony short and sweet. With so many loved ones traveling from near and far, we didn’t want to take up too much of their time. Our ceremony lasted less than 15 minutes, but it was packed with meaning. We exchanged personal vows that reflected our journey together—vows that felt deeply intimate, yet allowed us to savor the moment. The best part? We didn’t rush off after saying “I do”; we were able to join our guests right away for the cocktail hour, soaking in the atmosphere and chatting with friends and family before heading off for sunset photos.
3
We knew we wanted some breathtaking, serene photos to capture the magic of the day in my home of South Africa, and we found the perfect spot for it: a sunset boat ride! We carefully planned our photo locations around the venue, but the boat ride was a real highlight. It wasn’t just about getting the perfect shot—it was a moment for Sean and me to slow down, take a deep breath, and absorb the beauty of the day together. The colors of the sunset reflected perfectly on the water, creating a scene straight out of my dreams. It gave me all “The notebook” feels. It was a peaceful, romantic escape amidst the whirlwind of the day.
For Sean, whiskey isn’t just a drink; it’s a passion. So, naturally, we couldn’t resist creating a whiskey bar to celebrate his love for the spirit—and it was a huge hit! Guests were able to customize their own whiskey drinks, choosing from an array of unique whiskeys, garnishes, and add-ons. The bartender we hired was a master mixologist, and the whiskey bar quickly became the gathering spot during cocktail hour. It was such a fun way for everyone to bond and experiment with flavors, and it definitely reflected Sean’s personality. Plus, it gave us a great conversation starter for guests who might not have known each other before the wedding.
Looking back on our wedding day, I’m so grateful we made the decision to hire a videographer, and not just any videographer—Jesse Rajh, who captured every moment with such care and artistry. Watching the wedding video months later was an emotional experience for Sean and me. It allowed us to relive moments we missed in the flurry of the day—laughing with friends, catching spontaneous moments between family members, and hearing our vows again. It’s a time capsule of our love and the people who celebrated with us. Having a videographer isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s truly priceless.

I wanted our wedding to feel personal and unique, so we set up a Polaroid camera station where guests could take instant photos and place them in our guestbook with a note. It was such a fun and interactive way for everyone to be involved. The photos and messages we received were so heartfelt and spontaneous, and now they’re treasured keepsakes. Instead of just a traditional guestbook, we ended up with a beautiful scrapbook filled with moments and messages that we’ll cherish forever. It felt so authentic and reflective of our loved ones' personalities, and every time I flip through it, I smile at the memories.
