Florence + The Machine
This body of work speaks to the eternal metamorphosis of self and the intricate dance that women perform to adapt to the shifting landscape that surrounds them. It is a dance that is deeply intertwined with the physical space of the home, where architectural details and treasured objects take on profound symbolic significance.
Created during periods of lockdown, these works embody a yearning for connection with the outside world, while finding refuge in the intimate relationship between home and surrounding nature. The isolation and stillness of these times allowed for vulnerability, where emotions such as sorrow, anger, elation, and tenderness take root and flourish.
