I ’m o f t e n i n f l u e n c e d by d i s c i p l i n e s t h a t do not focus on architec ture because I think they can of fer answers to developmental problems. I am flexible, and I like to experiment with new tools, ideas, and st yles. I always feel a restless desire to express ideas through the creative process. My current goal is to do a postgraduate internship to get closer to the world of work and tr y to reach my wishes, doing the job that I love. This por tfolio is just a slight view of a few projec ts that I developed during the last six years, alone and in a group. I tried to catch the essence of ever y single work, showing what I thought was most representative.

SNAKE HOUSE / an house for Erika Lust The imaginar y customer of the projec t is E r i k a L u s t , a S w e d i s h e r o t i c f i l m D i r e c t o r, s c r e e n w r i t e r, a n d p r o d u c e r. She is a promoter of the feminist movement o f p o r n o g r a p hy. S h e h a s a d a u g h t e r t h a t i s nine years old. So the house could satisf y Erika and daughter needs. The projec t site overlooks the Adriatic Sea in the Rimini a r e a i n I t a l y. This area is charac terized by the strong presence of nature unaltered by the hand of man. The goal of the projec t is adding new architec tures in a landscape where sea and pine forest have ac tive dialogue.

To s a t i s f y c u s t o m e r n e e d s i s b o r n the Snake House, that allows Erika to control her daughter in the private space, but also to work in comfor t, at the first floor that is facing to the opposite side of the daughter ’s private area. This conformation allows

the child not to be in continuous c o n t a c t w i t h n a k e d s c e n e s . To d i v i d e , but also to unite the areas of mother a n d d a u g h t e r, t h e r e i s a t r e e t h a t is maintained by the pine forest in order not to af fec t the pre-existent landscape.

CONDIVIDERE BOLOGNINA Social Housing Outside Bologna train station, you can find the Bolognina, a neighborhood that concentrates a social stratification in a few square kilometers and it shows a variety of residents. T h e a r e a h a s a s t r o n g i d e n t i t y, u n f o r t u n a t e l y, w e a ke n e d b y a n o v e r l y n e g l e c t e d image. The cour se’s goal was to recompose a new road front. The idea was to create a b u i l d i n g t h a t w e l c omes new and old neighborhood resident s, t hat i t was able not only to be a residence for a few but a meeting place f o r m a n y. I t h a d t o h e l p p e o p l e l i v e o u t o f the stereotype because open space is a source of anguish and pushes to live in a communit y that knows how to live their i n t i m a c y. with Maria Carla Saliu

We want to give to the cit y a model that can coexist with the historical contex t.

A shared view is that people have been forced to esc ape public space, considered open and insecure, to live in delimited and controlled physical areas: the private dimens i o n . To c h a n g e t h i s s h a r e d v i s i o n , the projec t wants to reverse the characteristics of public space and

private space. This solution allows users to feel comfor table in all sit u a t i o n s . To d o t h i s , t h e o p e n s p a c e is interrupted with a sept used in dif ferent ways and with dif ferent materials that allow guiding the user during the use.

V I TA E Indus trial Redevelopment The idea was to recover the peripheral and marginal concept, creating a non-gravitational center to the cit y hear t, transforming it into an u n u s u a l p l a c e, n o t c o n d i t i o n e d by t h e h i s t o r i c a l c e n t e r. The perceptual analysis of the space has highlighted the peculiarit y of the area in the relationship bet ween full and empt y a n d e n h a n c i n g e a c h o t h e r. We wanted to empower this communic ation, s o w e c o n n e c t e d t h e m p h y s i c a l l y.

The projec t reconsiders the appropriation by nature of the urban nucleus, giving rise to a rediscover y of it, respec ting pre-exis tence, developing the independence of the area. With the continuous development and changing needs, the projec t propo-

FRAZIONE M Cit y Edge Redevelopment The area of the ex-slaughterhouse and the ex-cellars is a residual space close to the historic center of Imola. The idea was to ac tivate the current urban void by creating a dialogue bet ween the historical center and the station, through t wo axes, and by giving a s trong identit y to the public space through the creation of a craf t pole, to revive an Italian tradition. Urban areas recall the complexit y of the contemporar y cit y that the single piece hardly returns. T h e p o i n t o f t h e c o n n e c t i o n t a ke s p l a c e t h ro u g h a n u r b a n ro o m, r e p r e s e n t e d by a s q u a r e, g e n e r a t e d by a s u b t r a c t i o n p ro cess. The resulting emptiness is a unique p l a c e o f r e l a t i o n s h i p a n d e n c o u n t e r, a n o p e n b u t c ove r e d s p a c e t h a t a ll ow s a c c e s s t o b o t h p a r t s o f t h e p ro j e c t .

To d a y i s t h e h e a d q u a r t e r s o f t h e d e s i g n a n d architec ture courses of the Universit y of Fer r ar a. The palace was used as a psychiatric h o s p i t a l d u r i n g t h e N i n e t e e n a n d Tw e n t y centuries. N o w a d a y s a p a r t o f P a l a z z o Ta s s o n i s t i l l needs to be restored. The main idea of the projec t was to maintain the main struc ture and clean f ac ades and interior s. We also add a new staircase as a ver tical connec tion bet ween the t wo main par t s of the palace.

CLIP! Cit y Edge Redevelopment The Clip! is a modular space easy to use. The idea is to create a temporar y shelter that can be refolded, transpor ted, and reopened q u i c k l y w i t h o u t a ny p a r t i c u l a r d i f f i c u l t y. The module can reduce this overall footprint by 60% by a sliding system. The shelter has a s u r f a c e a r e a o f 9. 5 M Q , a n d i t i s m o u n t e d o n wheels that allow comfor table movement. The wrap is made up of a dual leather fabric that creates a par ticular perception of intimate b u t s h a r e d s p a c e. T h e m o d u l e i s r a i s e d f ro m the ground allowing bet ter ventilation to respond to the hot weather of the Sicilian s u m m e r.

The shelter is ar ticulated in a square space, with four beds set in the height. There is also a space for storing the suitcases — the be n e f i t s: e a s y t o c a r r y, s i m p l e a n d f a s t a s s e m b l y, e c o n o m y, a n d e a s y a c c e s s t o materials.
