Join us and make history!

A NOTE FROM Dear Future Owl, Words don’t adequately express how excited I am to build William Woods University’s collegiate football program. When you become a part of this new program, you’re saying yes to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your name will be written in the history books as a member of the original Woods Football Team. Woods Athletics are rooted deeply in academics, athletics, and community, and our football program is no different. We expect 100% effort 100% the time–on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Join us! Become the student, athlete, and person you want to be while adding to the institution’s traditions and culture. Coach Mendez

THE WOODS FOOTBALL We’re building this program on the four most important aspects of academics, athletics, and life:

FAMILY

COMPETITION

As a team, our family is every member of our team, every person on campus, and our community, in Fulton and beyond.

We’re here to bring it. If there is a score being kept, our eyes are clearly focused on 100% effort. Our goal is always doing at least 1% better than we did the time before.

ACCOUNTABILITY

RESPECT

Our team is accountable for all the actions of any and all of its members, both on and off the field. Period.

We dedicate ourselves to always act respectfully. The only way to gain respect is to earn it.

OUR IDEAL IS ALL IN AT ALL TIMES

PERSON Lasting, Positive Impact Looks for ways to enhance and improve athletics, The Woods campus, and the surrounding community.

PLAYER Continuous Improvement Dedicated to pushing on the field, in training, in practice, and on gameday to make them and their team better.

STUDENT Academics First Gives their all in the classroom.

WELCOME TO THE WOODS Find your home here, on our beautiful green campus (we call it The Woods). Whether you’re interested in academic challenge, Greek life, theatre, faith, careers and leadership, diversity and social issues, Owls athletics – or a little bit of everything – you’ll find like-minded students and a caring community to support you.

I fell in love with WWU because it gave me countless opportunities to develop myself as a student and member of the campus community, and build meaningful relationships with my peers and professors.
