ViVa Champions Culture and Unity at 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Village in the Valley (ViVa) hosted its 5th Annual Juneteenth Perfecting Unity Celebration on Saturday, June 14, at the Mission Events Center in Mission, TX. As the Rio Grande Valley’s official Juneteenth kickoff, the event celebrated culture and diversity in the Rio Grande Valley. The event raised funds for ViVa’s year-round initiatives—including student scholarships, the Community Closet, meal delivery for seniors, the Illumination Project, which promotes kindness and inclusion in local schools, as well as year-round cultural events. ViVa continues to uplift the Black community while fostering unity and cultural connection throughout South Texas.
