The City of McAllen hosted a sold-out “State of the City Address” on Tuesday, February 8, at the McAllen Convention Center. The annual event, which showcased the City of McAllen and the impact its partnerships are making, had over 1,000 in attendance. “It is very exciting to know that there are so many people interested in hearing about the state of the City of McAllen,” said Mayor Javier Villalobos. “ This is important because we have a very strong and important message about McAllen, our prosperity, and our community that contributes to our city every day.” Mayor Villalobos expressed appreciation for the many sponsors, as those funds cover the hard costs of the event, support philanthropic efforts, and promote the City of McAllen.
