A Word From the House by Deyna Gomez CHC, CLC, CAMS

This is my most favorite time of year. The crisp autumn air. Sweaters and cute boots. Warm cider and comfort food. I love opening the windows and doors and letting the magic of fall take over the house. However, I live in Florida; there is one slight problem, our autumn doesn't really begin until late October or November...if we are lucky. The first week of September hits, and this biological switch is flipped inside of me, and all I want to do is bake and cook comfort foods. Filling the house with the scent of fresh bread, soups, and, of course, my famous chili. The house transforms into a cozy home. For us, fall means football, food, and family time. Magical. I miss the changing of the seasons so much during this time—my spirit longs for the colors and children playing in the leaves. This edition is extraordinary because we have several new contributors to our Journal. Each is an expert in their field, and we are blessed to have them share their knowledge and guidance with us. We hope you enjoy this edition, and we look forward to a magical season together!

Wishing you all lots of L.U.C.K. (Love and Unconditional Compassion and Kindness). Be in peace and be of love. Blessed Be -Deyna

Three Most Common Ways We SelfSabotage and What You Can Do Today to Stop it by Deyna Gomez CHC, CLC, CAMS Self-sabotage is basically being in a race then, right before crossing the finish line, stopping, bending down, and tieing our shoelaces together, tripping, and face planting just a few steps from the goal. Yep...that sounds about right. Self-sabotage is really just an attempt to avoid difficult situations, rejection, or disappointment. There are plenty of reasons we self-sabotage, from fear of success to fear of judgment. The one common denominator is usually=fear. Let's take a look at what you can do to stop those patterns today! Walk the Talk- Walking the talk is the story you tell yourself and limiting (consciously or unconsciously) yourself according to that story. It is the story you or someone has led you to believe. All the "I can't" and "I'm not ____ enough." False limitations. The truth is that we have the resources to succeed or can create the resources to succeed. Not every millionaire started with a cushy bank account to fund their vision. We get so caught up in the story, we believe it and live it. We bring those limits to life.

Three Most Common Ways We SelfSabotage... Deyna Gomez, CHC, CLC, CAMS

What we can do: Change the narrative: “Every cell is eavesdropping on your internal dialogue”- Deepak Chopra There is much power in language. The way we speak, the words we choose to use influence our emotions, thoughts and impact the people we speak with. We can use the mind's language to change our internal sensors to achieve our desired outcome consistently. Your body is literally listening and absorbing everything you tell yourself. That is why whenever you say something about yourself (good or bad), you can literally feel it in your body. In the same way, our language can motivate us (affect our emotions, affect our physiology) and demotivate us. Begin by making small changes, like first noticing the words you use when you speak to yourself. Change the "I'm such a loser" or "I'm an idiot" to "I made a mistake there," then take a look at what can be improved. This also allows us to take responsibility vs. assigning blame. Responsibility creates a space for improvement and holds less judgment, where blame is condemning and judgmental. Practicing using affirmative words and remove negative self-talk. Record positive affirmations in your own voice and listen to them while exercising, driving, or meditating. This gives your unconscious mind an alternative to what it has been fed all these years. We all have lazy moments or days, but sometimes we purposely avoid doing tasks or looking for distractions. We can get caught up in social media for hours at a time and even put off appointments or cancel last minute. Procrastination and anxiety often go hand in hand. Procrastination:

While procrastination is common with those who suffer from anxiety, the reasons behind it may surprise you. Procrastination helps us avoid situations, people, events, and opportunities because often, there is a fear of failure or a fear of success with anxiety. We fear success because we feel we can't deliver or feel unworthy of that success. Something or someone from our past has convinced us that we are not deserving of success, so unconsciously, or sometimes consciously, we self-sabotage that success. If we fear failure, we try to avoid the feelings of defeat, being told "I told you so," feeling like a failure or less than because it was not completed or wasn't completed good enough. We tend to compare ourselves to others who have "succeeded" and think we are not enough. Avoidance allows us to blame an outside influence/factor (traffic, this person's fault, etc.) instead of taking responsibility for things within our realm of control.

What we can do: Identify and acknowledge the fear. Where is the fear coming from? How and when did it begin? What is it affecting in my life? Who is it affecting? This is an opportunity for growth. Here are a few simple ways to help with procrastination: 1- Get organized by creating a to-do list with the top priorities listed. Having a daily planner has helped me create a plan for my day, and if not, everything gets done that is ok. I know my priority list is completed, and some of my to-do's, which gives me a feeling of accomplishment. 2- Create a plan by breaking a project/task up into small pieces. Anyone with anxiety is easily overwhelmed but breaking something down into manageable parts and create a deadline for each part. Have an overall deadline for the entire project/task and allow a little cushion room for revisions or any additional work that needs to be done. 3- Eliminate distractions by deleting social media apps from your phone during working hours. We're so conditioned to clicking on an app and having instant access, who wants to actually wait 45-60 seconds for an app to download every time we want to use it. And that, my friends, is the point. Save that app for the end of the day or weekends and recondition yourself to not falling down the social media rabbit hole. Last but certainly not least comes perfectionism. Success and failure are a package deal. That is hard for a perfectionist to accept. Expecting always to do things right or not doing them at all for fear of failing to do it up to certain standards. This can be anything from tasks/projects to avoiding intimate relationships. How many times have we ditched a whole workout routine because we missed a day or two? Or messed up on a diet and then we felt like we needed to start all over instead of just starting from where we were. If we cannot be perfect with the entire process, then it's the "throw the baby out with the bathwater" mentality. Enter self-sabotage. The perfect way out of whatever we are trying to avoid.

What we can do: First, remember that failure is only feedback. Perfectionism is a great opportunity to practice selfcompassion. For every problem or obstacle, there is a solution. You have all the resources you need or have a way to obtain the resources. Be flexible in your approach, not your goal. Second, set yourself up for success with positive reminders, affirmations, mantras, and journaling. Practice gratitude every day and find something positive in yourself and the situation. Plan something positive for yourself as a reward and positive reinforcement for a job well done, no matter how big or small. Third, phone a friend. Get someone close to you to help hold you accountable. If you can't find anyone, hire a coach. Holding clients accountable to meet the desired goal is what we love and live for. Having someone to help hold you accountable, help keep you on track, monitor your progress, and give you that guidance, especially when you have the desired goal in mind, will give you a higher chance of achieving your desired outcome.

Final Thought: We all do it in some way, shape, or form, for whatever reason we can justify. The important lesson is to recognize it and notice the patterns of when, where, how, and why. Begin breaking those cycles with small steps. Journal the patterns to keep track. Also, journal the wins and the challenges. What emotions come up for you? What did you do with those emotions? Where in your body are you storing them. Remember to pay attention to the story you are telling yourself and change the narrative if it keeps you stuck. Growth and healing are not a destination but a journey to enjoy.

CHOSE A LIFE OF GIVING BY: LASHEENA WILLIAMS, MNM, CNP, NONPROFIT ENTHUSIAST

The last month has been extremely busy, and some may call it challenging, but I must say it has been the most rewarding and enjoyable month. Besides celebrating my birthday, I spent a month filled with giving of my time, talent, and treasure. This past month reminded me of why I got started in the nonprofit field and the reason that I chose a life of giving. What Giving Means to Me?

To give is defined as, “to present voluntarily and without expecting compensation.” 1

Take a moment and complete this sentence: I chose a life of giving because…for me: I chose a life of giving because someone gave to me, and without the unselfishness of my family, friends, teachers, colleagues, and strangers, I would not be who I am today. I am forever grateful and continue to give in the hopes of having the same impact on others. Benefits of Giving

As we face these difficult times, it is so easy to get caught up in our own needs but we must not forget to give to others. Whether you are raising funds for a meaningful cause or donating your time and services to those in need, there are benefits to your mind, body, and spirit by practicing the act of giving. There are so many studies that demonstrate the benefits of giving to your health. According to Cleveland Clinic, giving can: Lower your blood pressure. Increase your self-esteem. Result in less depression. Lower your stress levels. Support living a longer life. Result in greater happiness and satisfaction. ii

Ways to Given

Here are some ways you can give: 1. Give of your Time – Giving of your time is just as valuable as giving of your money. Giving of your time looks different for everyone, this could mean volunteering with an organization, giving a compliment to someone, performing a random act of kindness, or even promoting a cause on your social media pages. 2. Give of your Talent – Donate your services or talents to others. If you are an artist, you may choose to teach an art class for a group of youth, or if you are a Human Resource professional, you may volunteer to conduct resume reviews for teens. No matter what your talent may be, there is an organization or individual in need of your support. 3. Give of your Treasure – You may elect to give a monetary donation, whether it’s a one-time or re-occurring donation. Or maybe host a fundraiser asking your friends to match your giving.

(Peter Crouch – Soccer Player, over 7ft tall) Ectomorph Nicknamed “Hard gainers” due to their lean and slim build, Ectomorphs do better in endurance-based activities such as Football (soccer), Tennis, and long-distance running. Blessed with a fast metabolism, this body type has low-fat levels and finds it hard to grow and maintain muscle. Despite this, Ectomorphs can develop muscle and keep it by upping their carbohydrate and calorie intake to increase weight and size. Tracking calories is the best way to see where you are now and where you need to be when it comes to gaining muscle. Ectomorphs can counteract their fast metabolism by: Spending less time in the gym Tracking Calories Getting enough sleep (rest) Aim to eat every 3-5 hours (meals or snacks) Look to shakes as they are high in calories AND…Reducing aerobic activity

Endomorph

“Stocky” in nature Endomorphs usually consist of a soft and rounder frame with shorter limbs and a larger bone structure. Also, the body tends to retain more fat than other body types. In addition, they lack the endurance of an Ectomorph and the speed of a Mesomorph yet they have the ability to gain muscle and fat with ease. Endomorphs are better suited to activities such as Powerlifting, American Football, or even Rugby. By combining strength and cardio up to four times a week will decrease their fat storage over time to maintain weight as most of it usually resides in the tummy area. Abdominal and strength exercises would also benefit this body type depending on the person’s health and fitness goal

Mesomorph

Hailed as “Kings” of building muscle, the Mesomorph can put on and maintain muscle. Unlike the Ectomorph, this body type can gain weight effortlessly. Nonetheless, too many calories will begin to show on the Mesomorph as they, like the Endomorph, hold on to fat. Combining upper and lower body workouts multiple times throughout the week with adequate rest, the Mesomorphs will respond rapidly to exercise. With broader shoulders, muscular extremities, and a slender waist all contribute to their strong and “Athletic” look. Besides this, Cycling, Sprinting, and Interval Training are awesome cardio options for this body type to keep their strong and slender frame.

Domestic Violence and What Your Legal Options Are By: Ashley Baillargeon, Esq.

What is domestic violence? According to Florida chapter 741.28(2): “’ Domestic violence’ means any assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of one family or household member by another family or household member.” Anyone who has been in a domestic violence relationship or marriage knows it is not an easy subject to discuss or bring up with people. People may not understand what the victim is going through, or they might tell the victim to just “leave” or “get out.” Of course, it’s easy just to leave an abuser, right? Wrong. On average, it takes a domestic violence victim an average of seven times to leave their abuser.

If you have ever wondered if there are any legal options or remedies for leaving an abuser, the great news is, there is! There are many organizations, advocates, attorneys, judges, and police who are willing and want to help. Very important to know. If your phone or laptop are currently being monitored or could possibly be monitored, you need to go somewhere you feel safe to contact authorities or file an injunction (also known as a restraining order).

The first line of help is always calling the police. ALWAYS call the police if this person ever puts a hand on you. When you call the police, it puts their violence on record. You can go to your local courthouse or a domestic violence non-profit to file an injunction. There are usually advocates or attorneys to help you fill out the paperwork. You can call your local legal aid office to see if they will help. You can also hire a private attorney to represent you. Florida has five different types of injunctions. It is very important to pick the correct injunction because if you pick the wrong one, your case will be dismissed, and you will have to refile the injunction.

The types of injunctions in Florida are: Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence, Dating Violence, Repeat Violence, and Stalking (including cyberstalking). You can look the injunctions up in greater detail on the Florida Supreme Court website: https://www.flcourts.org/Resources-Services/Court-Improvement/Family-Courts/DomesticViolence/Injunctions. Children and pets can also be protected under your injunction, so make sure you request protection for them when filling out your petition. If you don’t ask for their protection in your petition, you will not get it.

Domestic Violence and What Your Legal Options Are By: Ashley Baillargeon, Esq.

When filling out the injunction paperwork, make sure you have your exhibits or evidence to back up what you are alleging. Do you need all of them? No, but the more you have, the better. Write down the dates, places, and times if you remember any of the incidents. Photos and text messages should have actual dates on them. Put down any witnesses who have witnessed anything that has happened. If you want to keep their names private, just say you have witnesses. It is always best to start with the most recent dates of the violence and work your way backwards. You do not want to have pages for each date and incident unless only a few incidents exist. Stick to the facts of what happened. You can always request that your address of your home or employer and your phone number be kept confidential from your abuser, so he/she will not know where you currently live or work. Please know that things will NOT get better. You CANNOT change someone. The abuser must be the one who sees they need to change themselves. Do not make excuses such as “He/she loves me so much. He/she does not want anyone else to have me. Things used to be so good; I just want to hold on to how things used to be. It’s my fault. I made him/her do it. If I could just stop making him/her mad, then things would go back to the way they used to be. I deserve this. I will never find someone better. This is my life” NO. NONE of this is your fault. I repeat, NONE of this is your fault, you do NOT deserve this, and this does NOT have to be the rest of your life. You do NOT need to be with someone who treats you this way.

You have options, and there are people who want to help. The National Domestic Violence Hotline number is 800-799-7233. Please seek help. You are not alone, and there are people and resources out there willing and wanting to help you.

Healing Space w/Coach Karen

Just F*%CKING BREATHE By Karen Whybrow, Grief Coach

Just fucking breathe.... sounds simple but do we really know how to just breathe, and do we teach our children to breathe properly. Our breath is always present, always with us, whatever we are doing and wherever we are. It is something that we do automatically and literally; we can do it in our sleep! I’ve just been sitting waiting rather impatiently for Georgina to go to sleep telling her to close her eyes and breathe (just fucking breathe) but have I ever explained how to take deep breaths or the benefits of them? Probably not I’ve just expected her to know because I have taught myself, and I talk about it. So my mini weekend project is to teach my girls about breath. Do you need some tips? Here are three techniques to get you started.....

1. Square or Box Breathing Technique Take a comfortable seat where your spine is straight and upright. It can be the floor on a cushion, a chair, edge of the bed. It doesn’t matter where you sit, just sit up straight. INHALE slowly through the nose to a count of four. (Count silently in your head.) HOLD your breath for a count of four. EXHALE slowing through the nose to a count of four. HOLD your breath for a count of four. REPEAT the pattern – INHALE 4, HOLD 4, EXHALE 4, HOLD 4 for about five minutes or as long as you can or need. Notice how you feel. Once you practice this method a few times, you can even use it anywhere.

Healing Space w/Coach Karen Just F*%CKING BREATHE By Karen Whybrow, Grief Coach 2. Affirmation Breathing Technique This is one so simple you can really practice anywhere, anytime. As you slowly INHALE through your nose, say silently to yourself, “I am . . .” PAUSE briefly (about a second). As you EXHALE, silently say, “ . . . calm and relaxed.” REPEAT the pattern – INHALE, “I am . . .” EXHALE, “ . . . calm and relaxed.” Repeat until you actually feel calm and relaxed, or you run out of time! 3. Tension Release Technique When you need to shake off the day, try this. Sit on a cushion on the floor if that is comfortable. Allow your arms to hang by your sides with your hands lightly touching the floor and your eyes closed. (If you can’t sit on the floor, a chair is fine. Allow your hands to hang by your sides and imagine they have a connection with the floor, with a string or beam of light.) As you INHALE slowly through your nose, focus on the middle of your chest, the heart center. Briefly HOLD the breath in, and silently say to yourself, “I am releasing all negative tension.” As you slowly EXHALE through the nose, visualize tension flowing out from your chest, past your shoulders, down your arms and fingers to the ground, and away. (You can visualize the tension as black smoke or green slime) REPEAT this pattern for 5-10 rounds of breath or until you feel lighter and more relaxed. After your last EXHALE of the exercise, SHAKE your hands and fingers a few times to release any residue. If in doubt, just breathe and focus on the sensation of your breath coming into and leaving your body

Love Chat w/Coach Jackie Victoria Domestic Abuse- Why women stay By Jackie Victoria, Relationship Coach

We watch the daily news and gasp in horror of another woman and her children battered, beaten, abused, or worse - murdered by the man who was supposed to love them most. We ask ourselves what happened in a woman's life to be 'that girl". How did she end up there? Sympathy follows along with anger and frustration over the senselessness of it all. In an attempt for peace of mind and security, our last (subconscious) thought before never tuning in again is victim shaming. After all - she chose to stay. But the word "victim" itself means 'to be tricked or duped' of which most women in these relationships were. TV series like DirtyJohn on Netflix, which is broken into 8 -12 hour-long episodes per season, still doesn't show the entire story of what toxic, power & control-centered, abusive relationships look like (even though they do a great job). The misconception of terms such as spousal abuse and domestic violence is that victims don't identify with that term. Women in abusive relationships are smart, strong, abled women who are often marginalized by their abusers and those they turn to for help. Most people (including those who have never endured it) believe physical abuse above all else defines what abuse is. But that's not the case. The women in the DirtyJohn series were not hit, beaten, slapped, spit on, or assaulted. Instead, they were humiliated, lied to, confused, and their children were weaponized. And that is the norm. The fear of punishment and the robbing of someone's personal ability to make decisions for themselves or threatening to use a court system to continue punishing someone for non-compliance is the driving force in these situations. In the series DirtyJohn, both women were wealthy. However, the majority of women trying to leave are under financial dependence by their abuser. They are also often prevented from working - be it through children's schedules or the relentless demanding needs of the abusive partner. Threats of violence, loss of children, harm to children or family, and financial ruin are often enough for compliance for any victim. The day she leaves is the most critical and dangerous time for her and the children involved.

Love Chat w/Coach Jackie Victoria Domestic Abuse- Why women stay By Jackie Victoria, Relationship Coach Many women in toxic relationships are placed in double-binds (lose-lose) situations every day, and no one sees it. Leave and lose children or stay and protect them. Divorce and risk homelessness and total loss of custody, or stay and suck it up until the children are in college. Women stay because: They don't believe in their own abilities to walk away and make it on their own They fear harm will come to them and the children Of moral and religious beliefs and due to family/culture/societal shaming They may not have a support system They don’t believe there are any good alternatives for them

Spousal abuse (mental, emotional, financial) is a slow and insidious way of taking away a person's sense of being and self-esteem until they no longer trust themselves - and it can happen to anyone. Trauma, emotional neglect, and financial dependence is a whole-body experience. It affects the brain, the nervous system, and the ability to make sound choices. Abuse is not something you can easily explain away at a therapist's office. Most women don't actually know they live in an abuse cycle until it's too late (meaning after children, marriage, and/or financial dependence). A toxic spouse may seem loving at times and like a complete enemy at others and will engage in warfare against their victim's self-esteem and try to cause doubt at every turn. Their tactic is filled with manipulation and impossible arguments that make little sense, followed by unpredictable rage with no warning. This is a control tactic and part of neurological and physical conditioning called 'TraumaBonding." Furthermore, the manipulations are so subtle and easy to miss that a person is made to doubt themselves to the point they no longer rely on their own ability to make decisions or trust their memory - this is called "Gaslighting." A partner who started so genuinely loving will feel like the devil himself by the end of a relationship. Physical harm (and violence) is nearly always the last stage of any abuse cycle - and it makes sense. No one would date someone who walked up to them, slapped them, spit on them, or assaulted them. That would make it obvious. But this behavior isn't apparent. It is based on chaos and manipulation. It's based on an abuser constantly saying he didn't mean to, he was just kidding, or it didn't happen the way you remembered it.

Love Chat w/Coach Jackie Victoria Domestic Abuse- Why women stay By Jackie Victoria, Relationship Coach How does one protect themselves when so much is at stake - like children?

Leaving starts inside the relationship and while she is still there. The overall solution to walking out on abuse is retraining the brain for mental dexterity of separating what she can control from what she can't. In developing mental clarity and calming the nervous system, she can regain enough confidence to navigate winning strategies that create a better dynamic for her and her household until she can break free - be it after the kids or grown or more immediately. But more than anything, when it comes to why she stayed so long, it's because her relationship is normal for her, and she had no idea there's a name for the relationship she is in -and it's called Domestic Abuse. The defining moment in every woman's life is when she reassures herself, "That would never happen to my children or me." I hope that it never does. Find an attorney and support system (friends, family, support groups) to help you in this transition.

If you or someone you know needs help to understand the relationship you're in, reach out to me at InvincibleVictoria.com or at 707.732.4190, and let's chat. You deserve to know that you're not alone. The National Domestic Violence Hotline number is 800-799-7233. Please seek help. You are not alone,

CBD: It’s the Wild, Wild West ~ How to Identify Safe, Quality Hemp Products By: Christine Moody We know why people are skeptical…A 2020 FDA study revealed that many hemp and CBD products are mislabeled or adulterated. Also, there are so many different terms used on labels and websites; how do you compare apples to apples? This article will provide some guidelines for identifying transparent and compliant companies and superior products. Most companies sound good on their websites, right? How do you identify legitimate products? We’re going to make sense of it and give you some things to look for in your search for products that work for you. First, the reference to the ‘Wild, Wild West’ is because this is a booming industry. The hempderived cannabinoids and extracts market is projected to grow to $16 Billion by 2025. We see new companies popping up every day, yet as consumer demand skyrockets, so do false claims and safety concerns. The main challenge facing reputable, quality-focused, and consumer-safetyconscious hemp companies today are all the companies who are poorly manufacturing CBD products and selling them with misleading labels, and making illegal disease claims. Unfortunately, the good and the not-so-good hemp companies all get lumped together, and it can be tough for consumers to understand which products they should be investing in. Here are eight things to be aware of: 1. Companies that make illegal disease claims in print, on social media, and on their websites are not in it for the long haul; they want to make big promises and a quick buck. Hemp products are plant-derived dietary supplements, and the pharmaceutical industry is the only entity legally able to make disease claims. That means supplement companies cannot claim to cure, heal, mitigate, or treat any disease or its symptoms or refer to any disease or its symptoms except in general terms of “support/promoting,” “function,” or “systems.” IF a website uses words like pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, etc., they are not compliant, and many companies have received letters of warning and more from the FDA. 2. Quality hemp should be grown in the United States on certified farms. These certifications are a little harder to see for yourself because often, the specific farm where hemp is grown can be proprietary. However, you should be able to a least know the state where it is grown. Also, although it is VERY important to use hemp grown only on organic soil for safety reasons, currently, companies are not permitted to label products ‘organic’ because the 2018 Farm Bill put this officially under the purview of the USDA, and guidelines/certifications are still in the works. This is an entirely new industry for the USDA. As a matter of fact, on August 10th, the USDA just approved the Colorado Hemp Plan under the 2018 Farm Bill. It is taking time. So, that means that companies that label products “organic” are not being truthful or compliant.

CBD: It’s the Wild, Wild West ~ How to Identify Safe, Quality Hemp Products By: Christine Moody 3. Extraction without solvents or chemicals is best; products using high-pressure CO2 extraction are the industry's best practice. Additionally, companies should really be large enough to use dedicated facilities for their product extraction, so there is no cross-contamination with other products. 4. Transparency using Certificates of Analysis (COA) is also an industry best practice. Consumers beware though, because all companies that have “third-party testing” are not the same. The testing should be done by an ISO accredited lab such as Eurofins, specifically experienced in this type of product testing. Also, saying you have a COA or third-party testing is not the same as showing the actual COA that is matched to the batch of your specific product. Companies that utilize QR codes or other methods where you can link your batch to the actual COA will tell you exactly what is or isn’t in your product and how much of everything. You don’t necessarily need to see this level of detail, obviously, but knowing how transparent a company is willing to be should tell you something about the products. 5. Company Staff Bios and Advisory Boards and blogs found on websites can also indicate a certain level of credibility, science, and data affiliated with a company and whether you are dealing with a fly-by-night company or one that will still be here in 10 years. I recently visited a company site when a man gave me his card, and his website only had products for sale and a few pictures; there was no other information. He said he made everything himself, but there was no information. How can you trust that?! 6. Full-Spectrum products are ‘whole plant’ with over 400 natural compounds in the hemp plant, including over 100 cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, omegas, and proteins. The sum of these compounds is truly greater than the whole and provides MANY more properties and compounded benefits as compared to an isolated product. This is known in the industry as the entourage effect or synergy. 7. Oil and water don’t mix, so it’s important to understand that our bodies are mostly water, and a plant is an oil. Typically, CBD absorbs about 3-10%. Companies that invest in technology for absorption and bioavailability are industry leaders in efficacy. Obviously, this technology makes products more expensive, but it also makes them work better. Understand that how many milligrams of CBD a product contains is irrelevant. Often high milligrams or high serving suggestions are indicators that the product doesn’t work unless you take large quantities (because it doesn’t absorb). Unless products you compare both have the technology for absorption at the cellular level, you are talking apples and oranges when comparing companies. And microencapsulation is a whole other level of absorption technology compared to nanotechnology. Data can show this.

CBD: It’s the Wild, Wild West ~ How to Identify Safe, Quality Hemp Products By: Christine Moody 8. Finally, companies and websites can say whatever they want and seem to check all the boxes; you see statements like “meets FDA good manufacturing processes” and “meets FDA product safety standards,” but unless they are certified by the U.S. Hemp Authority (USHA), the industry selfregulating body established in 2018, you don’t have any confidence that what they say is true. The USHA seal gives consumers peace of mind and an easy way to identify that they are getting the most trusted products available in the hemp market. Believe it or not, out of the thousands of hemp/CBD companies in the country, there are only 38 that are certified. Look for the seal of certification and check the USHA website for a list.

*One last little note: be wary of white-labeled products and stick with proprietary products/formulations. Again, this indicates whether a company is committed to the long-term industry or just making a quick dollar on quick and easy sales. “With little regulation dealing with quality control in this booming industry, it can be tough to know for sure if what you’re buying is good quality. Enter the U.S. Hemp Authority, a watchdog for the industry that has created a certification program to provide some guidance for consumers. CBD producers, manufacturers, and growers have to meet stringent standards set by the U.S. Hemp Authority and pass an independent audit to use its seal.” Prevention Magazine on the award of a 2019 Breakthrough Award to the U.S. Hemp Authority. I hope this article has answered some questions for you about hemp CBD and will help guide your travels in the Wild, Wild West to hemp CBD products that are industry gold standards that you can trust to provide a holistic approach to your health and well-being.

Spiritual Chalet w/Coach Irene History of Samhain By Irene Wertley, Spiritual Coach Samhain is often referred to as the Witches New Year. This, in fact, is paralleled, as it is the last turn of the Wheel of the Year. It is a time to celebrate and honor our ancestors, our teachers, and our mentors. In many Earth-Based and “Pagan” practices, they follow the Wheel of the Year. This is based on the equinoxes, the Solstices, the Moon Cycles, and the seasons. Not so long ago, people lived in harmony with the Earth and celebrated her cycles as a collective. The Wheel of the Year begins at Yule and ends, or begins again, at Samhain. It follows the beautiful love affair of the God and Goddess or Lord and Lady. When we speak of The Lord and Lady, we are speaking of the embodiment of the Masculine Divine/ The God Power and the Feminine Divine/ The Goddess Power. They both draw their power from light, vibration, frequency, and life force energy. This power is omnipotent and unified within the Universe. It is neither Masculine nor Feminine, but rather it is both or neither; it exists equally in all things. The Goddess is the Feminine aspect of power. She is also known as: The Lady/ Mother Earth / Moon Goddess / Mother Crone. She inspires and represents: Creation/ Fertility/ Emotions/ Intuition/ Harvest/ Life waters/ Cycles/ Centering/ Cleansing/ Manifestation/ Abundance/ Healing and Compassion. She is embodied on the Earthly plane and is the essence of all that is. She is filled with life and movement. She is the Great Mother, The Lady. She moves through the seasons; she does not die. Her existence is eternal. She is the cradle of life. She opens her womb, the very core of her, to give the Light back to the world. She bears the darkness of the Earth and the darkness in our hearts. She allows us to surrender our fears, hatred, anger, contempt, ego, and doubts to her unconditional love. She then carries our burdens down deep into the core of the Earth, where they are transmuted back to light and to love. Back to compassion and humility. And then She so benevolently returns that light back to us. To give us yet another chance to evolve and transform

Spiritual Chalet w/Coach Irene History of Samhain By Irene Wertley, Spiritual Coach The God is the Masculine aspect of power. He is also known as: The Lord/ Horned God/ Pan/ Green Man/ The Stag of the Forest/ The Fruit of the Vine/ Sun God/ Father Sky He inspires and represents: Spirit/ Physical Form/ Energy/ Fire/Passion/ Higher Consciousness/ Focus/ Change/ Strength and Creation. He is embodied on the Earthly plane as Matter and form. He is Father Sky. The Lord. His life is cyclical. He is born, he dies, and he is reborn. He is lover, son, and companion to the Goddess. He is the Spark of Life. He offers his blood to the vine and offers his body to the land so they may always be abundant. He is the strength and the courage we call upon through life’s struggles. He is the divine provider and protector of all that is sacred and is the shelter from the storm. He presents the darkness of the world to the Goddess and ultimately sacrifices himself for the good of all creation. As he is torn apart, purified, and transmuted in the womb of Great Mother, and is the Light that is reborn to Earth. Every new beginning and every ending is within him. At Yule, the Maiden Goddess gives birth to the Sun God, the light of Earth, the hope for a new beginning. The Winter Solstice is the notification that the days will begin to get longer. The young Holly King emerges to ignite the fires of life throughout the Land and awaken it from slumber. The wheel turns, as does the Earth and all life on it. At the first Equinox, Ostara… the Maiden Lady, and the young Holly Lord meet and fall in love reminding all life on Earth of Joy and Hope. There is an equal amount of darkness and light on Earth. As the wheel turns, the Lord and Lady and all things mature and evolve. The energy is fertile and abundant everywhere; life is lush and sometimes out of balance. We follow the cycles of the moon pushing and pulling us in and out of our orbit. The Lord and Lady come to us again as the wheel turns to the Summer Solstice, the longest stop on the wheel. The Sun shines its brightest because he knows he will be lingering less and less. We celebrate and rejoice Life. The Maid Lady and now the Mighty Oak King watch over us. As we harvest the fruits of life lessons and experiences, we preserve what is bountiful and viable. The Autumnal Equinox restores the balance. We begin to prepare; we give thanks for the light as it approaches its slumber. The Oak King and Maiden, now Crone, are there to help us face the darkness.

Spiritual Chalet w/Coach Irene History of Samhain By Irene Wertley, Spiritual Coach The final turn now brings us to an end and the beginning at Samhain on October 31 st. The God departs on the Great Hunt to find his spirit once again. To awaken the Sun God in the Underworld so the Earth may survive another cycle. For the unconditional love of the Goddess and his faith in her immortality, he will offer his body to the Earth and his blood to the vine. The Goddess mourns his absence though she knows he will return and be reborn. She is the Crone. The bringer of mercy as the Earth turns colder and the sun shows its light a bit less. Life begins to slumber. She opens up the Great Mother and climbs into the underworld. Before she descends, she swallows up all of our fear, hate, doubt, greed, confusion, and suffering. As she nestles into the cradle of life, she releases the darkness, and it is instantly transmuted into the highest light and love vibration. As the Mother crone is incubating and rejuvenating herself to the Maid once again, we celebrate the mysteries of death, and we pay respect to all that and all those we lost. We reflect on life’s lessons. We await the coming darkness, The Great Slumber. All life falls dormant to meet the grace of the light on Earth once again! As we approach the end of our physical life, we seek immortality. To continue our soul's existence, our legacy. Our rebirth and recreation of life. Samhain is a time to celebrate our ancestors, our teachers, and our mentors. To give them the gift of immortality. To let go of anything that is limiting or blocking the light within us. It is the time to face yourself in the stillness of existence and transmute. And as the Earth and our spirits sit in quiet repose, an explosion of energy occurs. Out of the darkness comes light, and with the birth of that light, the wheel begins to spin once again, creating and reclaiming life once more. Life and Energy are Eternal !!!!!!

Poetry Stage BRAVO Right now I'm concentrating; to kick start my lover's heart, and then you'll say congratulations. Once I tried, to display an emotion, but forgot the fact that I'm so timid. Your rule of motivation is not to judge my art. So I'll stand and cheer with roses. Somehow I found a role in this movie, and I'll keep my theatrical strive. These voices are logical inside my head, but we are far from all the fiction books unknown.

Tomorrow's a brand new day, for what it's worth, I'm sure.

So take me! For what? I'm' just an example of an actor's faux pas. So eager to reach the goal line, but failed attempts have zero points, and that's a makeshift confutation. As the red carpets are in the limelight, I'll wait for the perfect arrival.

Tomorrow's a brand new day, for what it's worth, I'm sure.

So I stand and cheer with roses. So I stand and cheer with roses. SO I STAND AND CHEER WITH ROSES. I guess I finally made the cut, and this I know for sure.

Tomorrow's a brand new day, so thank you is not enough. Poem by Robert Kellom.

Poetry Stage Bloom The journey to my rebirth was one of a thousand deaths Deaths I feared for each one harbored in a new era blanketed with the unknown Every death a loss of a part of me I held so dear Even if that part was toxic and had no place in my new reality, I mourn it all the same Because while it’s easy to write the old me as toxic, he was just defending himself The walls he built were made of the only self-love he knew All he could do was protect himself from the pain he’d always known I mourn the old version of me, for he was just trying his best I cry for him because he could never cry for himself I bawl for and with my inner child for all the things stolen from him I love him, for he could not love himself I honor him for his ways kept me safe But I don’t want to be safe anymore Emprisoning the most beautiful and human parts of myself for the sake of protection no longer satisfies me I wear my heart on my sleeve to let it breathe I cry tears every day that I’m grateful to let fall because I remember the times I couldn’t cry at all I shed those tears because they bear the weight of the world I no longer feel the need to hold Every drop dissolving a cinder block off my shoulders and loosening the albatross the old me placed around our neck too long ago to remember Absolving myself of the guilt and punishments I had put on myself for things that weren’t my fault I play with the shadows that used to envelope me in darkness The shadows I feared most are my most beloved I see now the lessons they wanted to teach me The agony they brought upon me were growing pains, and the thing I perceived as darkness was just me being planted so I could be watered in my own tears and fertilized with a newfound self-love Now I feel like my buds are set for me to bloom in a way I never have To bloom in a way I used to fear So bloom I will - Vernon "Jupiter" Thomas Graduate of The Anxiety Clarity Program with Sage & Harmony Holistic Coaching Written after one month into the program © 2021 Sage & Harmony Holistic Coaching Service ww.SnHCoaching.com

Message from The Spirit Guides "It is one thing to be intentional. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Mindfulness is vital in the manifesting of intentions so that you have the mindful intention to pave your way to your own Heaven. Intention without Mindfulness is just chaos without order." -The Messengers TarotScope September 2021: By Brandi "Mojo" Dye

Deck: Thoth Tarot Cards pulled: 1. Ace of Swords 2. 3 of Disks - "Works" Overall energy: Major Arcana: The Universe (The World)

Channeled Message: The Universal Truth of The Great Divine Work is that it is, in fact, timeless. A Trifecta of Universal Construction in the flow of Emergence. Magic. The Spiritual Truth of the Universe lives inside the trifecta of Mind (Ba), Body (Vessel), and Soul (Ka) within You. The Transits of this month's conjunction kicking off Mercury Retrograde will bring forward some very powerful truth reveals that are coming in to guide us in releasing selfish and toxic constructs. Cruelty is born of selfishness, and it can become so stagnant that it builds pressure. If we look at what is taking place right now in world news, Mother Earth is reflecting this need for a selfless purge through natural disasters. Mother Earth is channeling now more than ever the energy of selflessness to help us shift the paradigms of cruelty to Love. Until now, we have lacked the intelligence to shift perspective to Universal Truth because we have been wearing rose-colored glasses. The energies of the universe are bringing in Truth and Revelation to help us shift into an alignment of selflessness to begin a New Construction for Human Evolution. This Energy is giving us the chance to rewrite a New Narrative for our lives and how we see the change from within to help us shift the environments around us. Internal to External. The Universe is giving us the perfect Alliance to shift more mindfully with Mother Earth to start working with her and not against her. She gave us all life. We are shifting with her into a new level of being. This change is what every soul on Gaia wishes for.

Message from The Spirit Guides If you are beginning to notice that being in alignment with your own truth in transparency, something universal and miraculous is taking place. You may notice that spoken vibrations of something you want or visualize may begin to manifest rapidly now. Doorways of spoken vibrations are beginning to open for you. This means you are now in Alignment to call in what you wish to build from thought to material manifesting alchemy. This is a reminder from Spirit we are now Conscious creators and powerful ones at large! With Great Power comes great responsibility, even if this means it's time to shift focus onto yourself to improve situations. This is a reminder that thoughts in action at this time are powerful tools of creation to manifest your Universe. All potentials are very real, and the beautiful thing about this is the level of clarity that once surrounded the truth in the illusion are truly fading into the dust. All Portals to knowledge and manifesting are now open to bring ideas and dreams into fruition into the Material world. The beautiful truth about Divine Timing and Assistance is in the Miracle of Surprise. That is the most auspicious and beautiful way the Universe works to make your dreams become a reality. When it begins to unfold before you in miraculous plot twist and awe, it's hard not to begin to see the repetitive patterns of wonder. We spend so much time trying to predict the future, mostly out of fear, so that we miss the beautiful chance to witness the miracles in the momentum of "in this moment." The "right now" is the Magic of creation. In a major way, the Human collective is in dire need of releasing control of "needing to know" the outcome of the future. The Universe is asking us to Have Faith in the Great Work and to open ourselves up to all possibilities of creation to help it evolve. To trust that the Plan can be trusted. The beautiful synchrony of the 3 of Disks "Works" and the Ace of Swords is that the world in Truth, is on its way to truly discover Human origins and that history is about to be entirely re-written. The origins of Divine Truth are being revealed. Changes are coming that require thoughts and ideas to begin building new constructs and means of expansion. Mentally, Materially, and Universally. To truly embark on this next leveling up, we are being required to release cruel means of survival, to build a new world that is in alignment with our needs to evolve. This next wave of communication coming in Through Mercury/Hermes/Thoth is very esoteric and aesthetic and very powerful. Imagine sitting in an Ancient Atlantean room with a mirror that holds all records of knowledge, and you can reach into the reflection at any moment and receive information from any timeline or place in the universe? Imagine Thoth giving us a thought download that allows us to access our own specific roles in Navigating the Divine Universal Law of One?? If you can imagine all of this, It's happening right now energetically!! We are going to be learning to how to navigate these truths and truly start to grasp the energies that have kept us stagnant and shift them into a New Beginning. Bringing ourselves to the collective understanding of oneness.

Message from The Spirit Guides Remember in this time and times coming into the fold, to give yourself the utmost love and acceptance at this time and during these downloads or truth and awareness. The universal law of unconditional love is the greatest force we have in these changes and Revelations of truth to come. It transmutes all Fear, Loss, and Lack. Love is the fundamental Bridge to create a world that will become more transparent and free from illusion and stagnation. The world needs this shift more than ever now and it's here. Tiny Mustard seeds of faith can move mountains If we believe in The Divine Plan and Trust in its process. The more loving and transparent we become without selves and the more honest we are about what we need to build A new beginning, the more balanced and action-oriented we become to shift the change into being. When you selflessly give to yourself and give of yourself in balance, the rapid manifesting begins. If you have been putting more into the external than yourself, lately it's time to focus on the trifecta of alignment from within. Mind, body, and soul must flow together as one. This is the secret of the mystery of "Human Design." Starts within, and all starts with thought. This Retrograde can be a beautiful one chock-full of knowledge to bring in clarity to the collective confusion and give you a fresh look and perspective at a new start and that could mean for anything in this thing we call life. It's all in the eye of the beholder. We can however choose to build our dreams and ideas based on the absolute truth of who we are and build a Trifecta of world abundance. The universe wants to help us build our dreams, so let's just let it happen!?? Our dreams are the greatest part of the Divine Work! Dreams are The Divine Plan. Love, Mojo September 2021
