A Word From the House by Deyna Gomez CHC, CLC, CAMS, DVSI

And just like that, we have a new year upon us. We welcome 2022 with unconditional Love and gratitude! Some lessons I bring into this new year are: Not everyone in your circle is in your corner Pay more attention to the totality of a situation to really embrace all there is to be grateful for, rather than a few fleeting moments of things not going your way It's ok to take a few steps back to move forward Silence can be peaceful and deafening If you survived the pain, you can survive the healing Your dreams can't wait...do what your heart and spirit guide you to Live every day with intention and be of Love Treat everyone as if they have survived some trauma; chances are they probably have There are probably about ten or twenty more I could come up with, but those are the ones that came to mind first. I have learned some important lessons, especially holding on to Love, even when scary. I continue to practice being compassionate with myself and giving myself the grace to love and grow. Walk with me as we learn together and grow together. Giving ourselves permission to do better and be better. I give and accept Love. To redefine our past experiences and open our arms and hearts to new opportunities. To forgive and be forgiven. Open our hands to release what weighs us down and lift them up to receive our blessings! Sending you all blessings of Love, health, healing, and abundance.

Wishing you all lots of L.U.C.K. (Love and Unconditional Compassion and Kindness). Be in peace and be of Love. Blessed Be -Deyna

"I Love Me, I Love Me Not..." 6 Ways to Tackle the Battle of Loving Ourselves by Deyna Gomez CHC, CLC, CAMS, DVSI

I Love Me, I Love Me Not... Ah, yes, the age-old battle with loving ourselves. Many times it begins in childhood. As a Gen Xer, we witnessed parents on fad diets or a Jazzercise routine with Richard Simmons. “Buns of Steel” was a real goal. Television and magazines had constant reminders of perfection. Honestly, we could go back a 100 years and find evidence for the search for the perfect “look.” These days, while perfection is still out there trying to claim the stage, imperfection is standing up, raising her beautiful voice, and demanding to be heard.

I Love Me, I Love Me Not..." 6 Ways to Tackle the Battle of Loving Ourselves Deyna Gomez, CHC, CLC, CAMS, DVSI

The voice of imperfection says, “Yes! I am beautiful,” to the stretch marks and the cellulite. She screams, “Yes! I am here!” to her various shades of complexion and hair texture. Imperfection flaunts her freckles, beautifully grins with a gap-toothed smile and shows off her scars. Her full or not-so-full body is hers to claim. She knows her body, skin, hair, or smile does not fit the mold. Her imperfection is perfection. She owns it all. Walking into her divine wholeness takes strength and courage. We’re not always born with that strength and courage—we develop them along the way, with battle scars to remind us that we are stronger than whatever tried to beat us. Body image plays a role in how we love ourselves! How we look at ourselves, how we define our body, and the language we use when we speak to ourselves is part of our self-love. The most important relationship you can have is with yourself. We teach people how to love us based on the love we show ourselves and the boundaries we set. Self-love and body image can affect intimacy, both physically and emotionally. The anxious thoughts of not being thin enough, pretty enough, or ___ (name your default insecurity here) can keep us from having healthy relationships and keep us hidden behind years of limiting thoughts and beliefs. Take a moment to think about how you respond when someone pays you a compliment. Do you brush it off, make a joke, because you feel uncomfortable? Do you come back with a negative response? Or do you confidently say, “thank you”?

I Love Me, I Love Me Not..." 6 Ways to Tackle the Battle of Loving Ourselves Deyna Gomez, CHC, CLC, CAMS, DVSI

For me, it wasn’t until my early 30s, during my self-help journey, that I realized I couldn’t accept a compliment without making a joke about it because it made me feel uneasy. I felt uncomfortable in my skin, and to have someone else acknowledge me was difficult. Once I realized this, I began to make a conscious effort to respond with a smile and “thank you,” even if I didn’t believe it. It did take a while, but now, I can happily and confidently accept a compliment because I worked on my body image and selflove. Part of the change was making conscious changes to my body on the things I was insecure about; sticking to a regular workout routine gave me the results I was looking for and refocused my attention toward a positive mindset. A healthy body image and self-love shines through—you glow, and that shine radiates in everything you do. Your sexuality can come alive and help you bond with your partner. You can wear that confidence like a Christian Dior suit and absolutely slay anything that comes your way, attracting new opportunities and vibing on a stellar level.

Here are some ways you can begin to work on your self-love and body image: Awareness is the first step to change. Start paying attention to the words you use when you are talking to and about yourself. What comes up for you when you look in the mirror? What is your response to compliments? Where in your body are you connecting with these emotions? Journal what you love about yourself and your body. And then, journal what you don’t like. Go into this with love and curiosity instead of criticism and judgment. When did these feelings begin? What was the body image belief present growing up? Allow your thoughts and feelings to be just that—thoughts and feelings. Let them come and go without attachment.

I Love Me, I Love Me Not..." 6 Ways to Tackle the Battle of Loving Ourselves Deyna Gomez, CHC, CLC, CAMS, DVSI

Express gratitude. Place your left hand over your heart and right hand over your tummy; take some deep, slow breaths and give thanks for your body and its functions. Practice saying gratitude statements like, “I am grateful for this body. I am grateful I get to make healthy choices for my body today. My body is an extension of my power, and I am grateful to have this connection.” Surround yourself with a positive support group. I’m not talking super-positive Patties, but people who will be supportive when you’re vulnerable and help lift you up when you’re feeling down. Life is hard enough; why hang around people that don’t want you to succeed? Create a regular self-care routine. When we look better, we feel better. Schedule some mani-pedi time, get a massage, take a trip to the salon. You can even have a spa night at home. You are only one Google search away from an avocado facial. Once you have acknowledged the way you speak to yourself, now you can change the narrative. What if you turned the “I have to go on a diet” to “I get to eat healthier foods for my body.” Changing the “I have to/I should” to “I get to” creates opportunity and a desire for change. Write down some of the things you say to yourself, then work them into a positive. You will feel so much better when you do.

Healing is not a destination but a journey of self-discovery, love, forgiveness, patience, and compassion. Be kind to yourself—you are worth it. Have an amazing year!

Manifestations Not Working? You Might Be Making These Two Common Mistakes by Katie Cavenagh, Energy Alignment Specialist and Alchemist.

Have you ever tried to work your magick and manifest something really awesome, only to find it simply not happening? There are a few mistakes people make when it comes to calling in their big dreams, and most of the time, they fly under the radar, leaving us pulling out our hair in frustration and confusion. Especially when we’re doing everything “right.” Could sneaky saboteurs be raining on your parade, preventing you from aligning with what you want? Read on to see if you’re making these two common mistakes, and discover what you can do to make sure you master your manifestations.

Manifesting: The Art of Asking and Receiving Any time you ask, you will receive an answer. If you don’t like what’s been showing up for you, you may want to rephrase your request, as you need to be specific about what you’re calling in. Just like an Italian grandmother, the universe is always listening. When you put out your request for your big dreams, the universe starts pulling together a timeline for you and aligning you with what you need to move forward. The power of a decision catalyzes a chain reaction of synchronicities, and when you’re vibing high and feelin’ good, you continue to call in more of the same. That’s why when you commit to doing, being, or having something, you all of a sudden start to notice signs of it popping up, like when you want to buy a new car and now see that car everywhere.

Manifestations Not Working? You Might Be Making These Two Common Mistakes by Katie Cavenagh, Energy Alignment Specialist and Alchemist.

When you are formulating your request for what you desire in your life, there are two common mistakes no one talks about that actually prevent you from getting what you want, and just about everyone makes them. Remember, manifestation requires you to clearly state your desire and then remain open and willing to receive. Here’s what not to do when placing your order for awesomesauce. Mistake #1 - Speaking Against Yourself. What’d you say?

When you contradict yourself with what you say (and think), you cut off all possibilities from coming to you. What are the most common thoughts and phrases you say to yourself regarding your dreams? Check yourself before you wreck yourself. Are you talking like your dreams will never come true? Are other people putting the idea into your head that you’ll never succeed, and are those thoughts rolling around, adding to your own doubt? Are you limiting yourself with the words if, but, then, or when? Start paying extra close attention to the words you use throughout your day. Words matter- they are literal spells you cast when you speak, and they’re quite powerful. That’s why a sweet song can bring tears to your eyes, or some comment that stung twenty years ago still stings today.

Manifestations Not Working? You Might Be Making These Two Common Mistakes by Katie Cavenagh, Energy Alignment Specialist and Alchemist.

Phrases like “I’ll be able to start my dream business when the kids move out,” “I’d be happier if he’d just act differently,” “I want to find love, but there’s nobody for me,” “If I had more money, then I’d be able to do fun things” alert the universe that you need something else out of your control to happen before you can take action on calling in your big plans. It doesn’t work that way, and you’re gonna wanna stop that immediately. When you say you can’t do it or that something else needs to happen first, you are telling the universe to bring you more things that keep your dream at a distance. Speak towards what you want, which creates open space for things to come in. Keep in mind that the universe doesn’t work in negatives, so if you’re saying I don’t want to get sick, what you’re really asking is to get sick. Also, be wary of wanting. Saying “I want x,y, or z” actually keeps you in a state of wanting. Use present tense phrases like I am, I have, I create, I am in the process of…, to open you up to receive. Your words carry a lot of weight, so use them to supercharge your manifestations instead of allowing them to erode your dreams one thought at a time.

Manifestations Not Working? You Might Be Making These Two Common Mistakes by Katie Cavenagh, Energy Alignment Specialist and Alchemist.

Manifestation mistake #2: Incongruent Beliefs. What’s lurking beneath the surface is what’s driving the bus. When your beliefs aren’t aligned with what you are working on manifesting, it will be a lot harder because the universe doesn’t know what you really want. This is why we get wishy-washy results. You can do everything right and still get it wrong if your energies aren’t all working together. Case in point, if you ask for a big pile of money, yet you don’t truly believe you can have it, or think people who are rich are bad, waste money on frivolous things, and are up to no good, or feel your body tighten and ball up at the thought of all that cash, then you’re out of alignment. Deep down, you may really want something, but somewhere in the trenches is a coping strategy to keep you “safe.” Perhaps if you grew up in a house where money was sparse, you might end up with the belief that there’s never enough to go around, you have to always save and never spend, and you should be happy with what you have. If these are your beliefs, getting rich probably isn’t going to happen because you need to really, really love money to have the big bucks and not have shame, guilt, fear, or doubt around it. Often we are taught that we shouldn’t love money, it’s often hard to get, there’s not enough to go around, that other people “have what it takes,” and we are stuck wherever we currently are. This whole belief system is rooted in lack, which is the paradigm many people live in. In fact, most of our beliefs around most things in life are rooted in lack.

Manifestations Not Working? You Might Be Making These Two Common Mistakes by Katie Cavenagh, Energy Alignment Specialist and Alchemist.

The way to align is to be open to changing your beliefs. You’ve already noticed your words may need extra chaperoning; now it’s time to make some changes at the most fundamental level- the subconscious. Notice how you feel inside when you think about achieving your dreams or manifesting your next big thing. If there’s any sort of tightness, pain, constriction, sensation, or restriction, that’s a sign there’s a contradictory belief under the surface. Don’t try to analyze or even name the feeling, just go in and feel it fully in the body. This will help create space for you to process whatever you find. Your beliefs are lodged deep within you and are the driving force of everything you think, say, and do. When you aren’t fully aligned, you can speak it to the universe as much as you want, but your beliefs will always win the tug of war. Your Manifestation Toolbelt

These two overlooked aspects of manifestation can be your magick accomplices when you use them to their utmost potential. Being hyper-vigilant of these hidden saboteurs can bring you to manifestation mastery in no time. Remember, whatever vibration you’re emitting to the universe will be met, so have clear intentions for what you’re putting out there in relation to what you want to show up in your life. Every request received is answered, so speaking towards what you desire and making sure your beliefs line up is paramount to your ability to call in your wildest dreams.

Stuck On Your Healing Journey? Leslie Gipson, Intuitive Healer and Transformational Strategist

There’s Another Way As we go through life, all of us accumulate traumas along the way. The National Council estimates that 70% of all adults in the U.S. have experienced some level of trauma. Between you and me, I think that number is actually higher. We’re generally quick to downplay the stress in our life, so I believe many people don’t even realize that they’ve experienced trauma. Everybody is impacted differently by stressful events. Both micro and macro traumas can get in the way of you going about your daily life. Sometimes, you might just feel crappy, stuck, and not know how to get out of it. When I found myself plagued by depression and crippled by anxiety, I did what many of us do. I made an appointment with a therapist. The problem is, that’s not the path for everyone. It wasn’t for me. After all, not all of us like to talk! In fact, some people find it nearly impossible. Did you know, the body influences how/if we can communicate, what we focus on, how easily we’re overwhelmed, and our ability to see and hear under stress? Isn’t that interesting? Traditional methods of healing follow the same protocol for everyone - no matter who you are, what your needs are, what your trauma is. The problem with this approach is that it ignores the wide spectrum of ways we can be impacted by trauma, and how varied we are as people.

All forms of healing are valuable and bring something to the table, but it doesn’t make sense to assume that everyone will benefit from the same methods. At The Healing Instinct, I get to know you and your challenges, then I tailor the session to meet your specific needs. I have a range of different healing techniques in my toolkit and I not only integrate them into each balance session, I also teach you to use them on your own! So that when you’re out in the world and feeling triggered, you can recognize and interpret your body’s signals and use the techniques you’ve learned to immediately release stress from your mind-body system in a way that’s fast, effective, and even fun. Some of my most commonly used modalities include: Intentional Movement Acupressure Points Colors Tapping Working with the Meridians Do you know the one thing all types of stress/ traumas have in common? They get stored in the body’s tissue. I bet you know EXACTLY where yours hides! This means that trauma literally lives on in our bodies, sometimes subconsciously, until acknowledge and remove it. Even when you can’t remember, your body can. So, talking about a life-changing event is not always enough. We need to support every aspect of the mind-body system; physical, mental, emotional, and energetic to fully and completely heal. I believe this can be done through movement and integrating modalities into a complete whole-body experience.

Using the body can help with 3 necessary things: Making space in the body for the trauma to move around in Moving the trauma through the body, to eventually release it Reconnecting the brain to the part of the body where the trauma was stored and rewiring it for new possibilities In every Healing Instinct session, the goal is to create balance… By being present, not stuck in the past or overwhelmed by the future. Increasing your ability to work with the details while seeing the big picture. Allowing you to think and feel at the same time. A Sense of Agency

Someone to hold space for us while we unload everything and unpack various events and triggers is an incredibly useful tool. Assuming you see your therapist once a week, what happens the other 6 days of the week? What happens when you’re alone, at home, or out and about, and you get triggered?

It’s important to have techniques that you can use yourself, on your own. The goal is to get you independently living your life, right? To end the cycle of feeling bad / talking about it / feeling bad/ talking about it. The thing is, your healing journey needs to become an integrated part of your life. You should be embodying it, swimming right in the depths of it on a daily basis. And that starts by listening to your body.

Stuck On Your Healing Journey? Leslie Gipson, Intuitive Healer and Transformational Strategist

The way I see it, it’s like trying to learn a language by taking one class a week. I mean, do you remember any of the Spanish you learned at school? A much more efficient way to learn a language and speak it fluently is to go and live in the country. Get immersed in the culture, make Spanish friends, watch Spanish TV, order your food in Spanish, and be forced to speak Spanish every day. Remove every temptation to speak American English. Spanish needs to become your way of life. And the same goes for your healing. Movement is the language of your body. By listening to and interpreting its signals you’ll have the information you need to move with ease toward your goals. Learn techniques and take them with you to have for life, well beyond our time together. I’ll also show you where you can find more as you grow and evolve, and your needs and challenges change. I want you to take your healing journey into your own hands. My goal isn’t for my clients to depend on me. Quite the opposite! The Very Real Concept of Retraumatizing

Sometimes we just need a little support, guidance, or encouragement… … and other times we should listen to our body telling us it isn’t time to open up. When I tried talk therapy, my body sabotaged my well-laid plans. Perhaps you can relate. There’s a very real occurrence that doesn’t get spoken about a lot, and that’s the concept of retraumatizing. This is the final point I want to address today, and it isn’t to be taken lightly. And I’m not saying that this always happens, or that it happens to everyone. However, it is a real thing. The truth is, you can retraumatize yourself by retelling the story.

Did you know that when you say the words “I’m grieving”, your body automatically initiates a physical response and goes into grieving mode?

And so, if you feel a resistance to verbally sharing about your experience, it might be worth listening to your intuition on that one. Or, add a little movement to the equation. It’s possible to get to the heart of your challenge and conquer it in a way that actually “sticks”, without telling the story. Just food for thought. What I do is show you that “conventional” isn’t the only way forward - and for many isn’t the way at all. How many modalities have you tried and yet still search for “something” that will change everything? I’m here to give a voice to those who have been passed around or overlooked for months, years, even decades. The problem is you just haven’t found what works for your body.

Meeting My Own Needs is Selfish, and That is Okay By: Hannah York Certified Energy Healer: Thetahealing, Emotion Code, Reiki Master

What I want is selfish, why that is B*llsh*t Asking for what I want is selfish. This belief has been reinforced your entire life. The way others feel is more important than what you want. After all, you want the people around you to be happy, so you play along. Eventually, you just stop taking care of yourself. Your needs can wait, after all, you have been putting yourself last your entire life. What’s one more day, week, year? When you grow up in an environment where the needs of others are more important than your own, you form stories and ideas about yourself. This may or may not have been a conversation that you overheard or were a part of. This younger version of you created a way to survive in their environment. You survived the only way you knew how. You were accepted, loved, and even praised for being so accommodating, or maybe the only way you had peace and security was to change who you were. This environment formed the way you feel about your life and relationships. If you look closely at the relationships in your life you will start to notice the similarities. Being willing to see the patterns and find out where and why they were created is the first step. By recognizing that the current patterns in your life are just that, a pattern, you get to decide to change. Simply being aware of why you react the way you do, can change your life. This work isn’t complicated, but it can be difficult to face our old way of being.

This can be a coach like me, or even a friend or family member. Please choose whom you talk to carefully. You only want to do this work with someone you feel safe with on every level. That will listen with care and compassion and will keep your confidence. I Invite you to journal on the following questions. I want you to close your eyes and connect with your heart. Taking time to connect with your body and asking your conscious mind to take a back seat when answering. To shift your beliefs, you need to access your subconscious belief system. Here are some questions you can ask yourself to get started: Steps: Can you identify how old you were, who was with you, what was happening? What did you need to know or hear to feel better at this age? Can you picture this version of you in front of you? If so, tell them all the things they need to know and hear at this age. If you can’t picture them, write them a letter. Tell them everything you wish you had heard as a child. Invite them to come back into your heart and stay with you moving forward.

1. When did I first learn that taking care of others was more important than taking care of myself? a. Example: When I was 5, I learned that I had to take care of my younger brother. I would get in trouble if he did anything wrong. b. I needed to know that I was loved, that taking care of my siblings wasn’t my responsibility, that I am a good person, that I deserve to have fun and play without worrying about my siblings. I need to know that my feelings and thoughts, and existence matter. (Keep going, let everything flow out onto the paper, let this younger you express everything)

How Airplane Nerves Taught Me the Secrets to a Successful Business by Melanie Arena | Mental Health & Wellness Copywriter

The other day I was sitting in an airport on my way to the next place in my nomadic travels. I was anxious, scared, and dreaded getting on that plane. Some nerves were due to flying, but mostly, I just didn’t want to leave. I didn’t like where I was. It was cold, I didn’t have a car, I was lonely, and all of that made me feel like I was confined to the house. I was unhappy, plain and simple — and I knew it. But the thought of going somewhere else? That was scary. All these thoughts raced through my head as I imagined getting on that plane and taking off: What if I’m unhappy at the next place? What if things don’t work out? What if it’s a worse situation than I’m in now?

VOLUME 10

How Airplane Nerves Taught Me the Secrets to a Successful Business All I wanted to do was run out of that airport and go back to where I was. Stay here and not go there. “Here” was comfortable. It’s not happy, but I knew what to expect. “There” is all this unknown. Despite my resistance (and worse-case scenarios that flashed through my head), a part of me wouldn’t let me back out. I was getting on that plane and taking off. Why? Because I’ve come a long way from where I was. And how I got “here,” was to lean into the discomfort, keep moving forward, and consistently show up. Lean Into Discomfort

Just a few years ago, I was in a bad place. I was anxious, depressed, unhappy with my life. I felt directionless; untethered to anything or anyone. I had no idea what I wanted. I only knew that where I was, was definitely not it. One day, a friend’s words got through — “maybe you should talk to someone.” I started poking around, trying to figure out what I’d feel comfortable with. After some odd calls and people who weren’t a good fit, I came across my therapist. She helped me work through my unhappiness and I learned a lot about myself. One of the hardest lessons? You have to “lean into the discomfort” — as Brene Brown would tell you. This is as difficult as it sounds. After all, who chooses to feel discomfort? Why not just stay in a comfortable place? I might be miserable, but at least I know what to expect. But this mindset didn’t last long. I had almost as much anxiety staying in place as I thought I would have moving to that next, uncomfortable place. It took me years to realize that to change my life, I would have to get used to being uncomfortable. The path to success — in life or your business — will be a series of uncomfortable moments. But don’t pull away; lean into those moments instead.

How Airplane Nerves Taught Me the Secrets to a Successful Business

Take That Step

It took me a long time to get where I am today. A lot of steps too. Some were super easy and I felt like I was bounding down my path like a gazelle. Others were not. I shuffled along slowly, feeling like I moved through molasses. Sometimes I went steadily along, only to realize this path wasn’t working for me; I needed to adjust and switch course. Those adjustments weren’t easy or comfortable. Many times, I wouldn’t take those steps at all — I backpedaled or froze in place, hoping I wouldn’t need to move forward.

But part of growing as a person is accepting that change will happen. Nothing in this world can remain static and still grow — it wouldn’t even be called growing then. Moving forward is uncomfortable, but it leads to change, growth, and success in your life. So don’t stop taking steps toward your business goals, no matter how difficult it may be.

VOLUME 10

How Airplane Nerves Taught Me the Secrets to a Successful Business Show Up, Consistently

Throughout my journey, I eventually figured out what I wanted for my life. Those desires fueled my willingness to grow and change. It was a slow process, but I got there eventually. I started working on myself, tried to be a better friend, lost weight, quit my job, and left home. I even struck out on my own and created my own business. And I had no idea what I was doing. Each day was filled with new emotions and changes. Some days, I felt like the boss lady: on top of things, knowing what I was doing, and not afraid to take on the world. Other days, I could barely get out of bed and get dressed. I felt like a failure like I made a mistake, and I questioned my choices. But each day, no matter what, I showed up. I sat in front of my computer and worked on something. I did my best, even when I stumbled or made mistakes. I kept taking steps, trying to move forward, remembering where I was and where I hoped to be. And I’m convinced that consistency is the secret to success. No matter what projects you’re working on, what your business goals are, or where you want to go in life — just show up. And show up consistently.

How Airplane Nerves Taught Me the Secrets to a Successful Business Paying It Forward to Others

As I work with my clients now, I see similarities in their own journeys. They start by telling me things like: I want to be ranked #1 on Google search results. I want to be a household name like Brene Brown. I want to launch a new product and get more customers.

I think that’s fantastic — so I work up a marketing plan. I make suggestions, write marketing content, and present it to them. That’s when things come to a halt. My clients tell me things like: “I like what you wrote, but I’m not comfortable making these changes yet.” Or “I appreciate you pushing me outside my comfort zone, but I don’t want to do that.” This is when I give my pep talk. I gently remind them: To go forward and reach the goals you want, you have to be uncomfortable. And move from the comfortable place you’re at, to this new, uncomfortable, scary one. To grow and change, you’ll need to take that next step. It won’t be easy and you may not always like doing it. But you can do it. You’re already most of the way there by showing up for your business every day. So the next stop on your journey may be the step you need to take. And any time you feel those airplane nerves about your business, remember to lean into any discomfort, keep moving forward, and show up consistently.

Using Crystal Healing for Self-Care By Luna Jade

Increasingly popular, crystals really are hitting the shelves and flying like hotcakes! There are many reasons why, but among the most popular are the magical healing vibrations they carry. It may come as old knowledge, but everything carries a vibration. Sometimes they are large outputs and can be felt with your hand (such as touching your throat as you speak or the bass you feel in a sound system). Other times, the vibration is so minimal you would never even know it is there; even your cup of coffee has its own vibration. With that being said, is it really so crazy to think crystals, that are millions of years old, surviving everything Earth has to offer, would carry such extraordinary healing properties? Evidence of such an existence can be found in Egyptian and Sumerian history. In this article, you will find the knowledge of how to bond, take care of, and work with a crystal in general. The goal has always been to bring awareness of these inspiring companions to the collective. Prior to jumping into all the juicy details, I would like to add, please practice what feels comfortable and resonates for you personally. That’s where all the healing happens when you are working from your heart. Unlocking the magical effects of a gorgeous crystal is no difficult task. It all starts with the search. When searching for the perfect gem to fit your soul, it can be accomplished in multiple ways. You can allow yourself to be drawn to the one you feel is right, by simply using your intuition to guide you to the piece that you just can't live without, or have a friend intuitively choose for you. Doing your research and going in prepared with information is another effective way. This ensures you get the properties you are looking for. Though personally, I have always found using my intuition and researching after gets me exactly what I need, whether I know it or not.

Using Crystal Healing for Self-Care By Luna Jade

Once the piece has been added to your life, start the relationship with your healing companion by cleansing its energy. This can be done using smoke, sun, moon, soil, breath, or even frequencies. Please use the technique that resonates best for you while looking up the crystal and ensuring it is safe to get wet or bring into contact with the sun. Cleansing them as often as possible will be necessary in your crystal healing journey; however, you decide to perform it safely. When the first cleansing is complete and you are comfortable moving forward, forming a bond with your new piece will be essential for your journey together. All crystals have their own color, personality, and origin accompanied by a unique vibration. Each vibration that an individual crystal carries heals, or protects different ailments within our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Knowing which one is compatible with your needs and what their capabilities are could save you some time in the confusion department. Crystals definitely take on a considerable amount of energies that surround them regardless of what kind they are. This is why developing a trustworthy friendship providing cleansings and a safe space can be vital to your experience. To form a bond with your new partner, consider practicing the following; Cleanse often (see how important cleansing is?). Talk to your crystal. Get to know it. What does it feel like? What characteristics do you imagine it having if it could speak? Tell your piece what you would like your dynamic to be, as any healing work is done best when it is done together with a mutual understanding. This will ring true for your new journey with any crystal you are attracted to. Set intentions with your new confidant, giving some direction and allowing room for feedback.

Using Crystal Healing for Self-Care By Luna Jade

Carry your crystal within your aura for extended durations of time (unless it is making you feel ill, in this case, remove and try shorter periods) while being mindful of any differences you may notice when you are surrounded by its energy versus when you are without it. No matter how small these differences may be, documentation of shifts (physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually) will prove helpful for future reflections. You can also sleep with it under your pillow or have it placed close to you as you slumber, such as on the nightstand (some crystals are also known to enhance and induce dreams). In taking time to build the foundation of this new relationship as solid as possible, you will then be able to participate with your piece, working in harmony, feeling results, all while exploring the benefits and wisdom you can both bring to one another. I say both because, yes, we absorb our crystal's energy, but they are also absorbing ours. With that being said, as we are in contact with them, we are transmitting intelligence and much more to one another on a subconscious level. It is vital to remember that when we are acclimating ourselves to a new crystal, regardless of how it entered our lives, we must do the scientific research, learning about its physical traits for our own safety. Know what to expect before using the crystal. Examples of this would be wearing a stone that could be toxic or dissolve when wet. Make sure always to double-check toxicity, safety for you, and proper care of the crystal. One of the most common crystal healing techniques performed to date would be sessions specifically crafted for the aligning and healing of the chakras. In this practice, one would carefully choose crystals that correspond to each chakra that required healing. Targeted chakra frequencies may fill the room at this time or guided meditations specifically geared for healing chakra centers, potentially even some aromatherapy added in.

After the selection and any further preparations, each stone is laid over the charka center that aligns with that specific stone (i.e., rose quartz for the heart chakra). The stones are then left to charge, balance, and help the wounded chakra by moving living energy and vibration through it. During these sessions, crystals are also used on the aura. In healing the aura with crystals, they can aid in repairing tears, rips, and lingering stagnant or dense negative energy occupying your field. This type of energy in the auric field can directly affect the chakra's efficiency. Crystals are also known to heal on a physical level too. Healing sessions for physical ailments may be more intense in a time-consuming way, still effective nonetheless. Amber is said to drive pain and illness out of the body. Carnelian and bloodstone can help kidney function. Ever had a black bruise? Rhodonite rested on the wound for a couple of hours will lighten the bruise to a much lighter shade revealing it as a healing yellow. Amethyst is known to relieve stress or anxiety. Aquamarine has been used for dental, eye, and digestive problems. Citrine is said to have healing ailments for the digestive tract, and the list goes on. Research each individual crystal separately. Focus on bonding with one at a time, take notes, and begin your new and exciting journey! I am elated to have had the opportunity to bring this information to light. Crystals are frequently used in my practice and personal life, so to me, it is an honor to speak on their behalf. I would like to wish you all the best as you further your adventure of self-growth and gaining knowledge.

Women Should Rule the World By Star Hayward, Life & Success Coach, Transformational Specialist Women make incredible leaders, CEOs, and business owners. We’re visionaries, intuitive, creative, and we drive initiatives through connection, collaboration, and inclusion, yes- we are tribal! But traditional, masculine leadership conditioning leaves many women either feeling afraid to lead or trying to lead in a way that isn’t working because they haven’t learned that they can trust in bringing their feminine qualities effectively into leadership roles. The imbalance in the masculine-feminine approach to leadership and performance expectations is holding women back from achieving the freedom, fulfillment, and flow they innately crave to feel through their heart-centered work, leading to burnout, overwhelm, and looking for alternatives. I recently read an article titled, “women are leaving the workforce in droves.” Yes, droves! Part of this has to do with the hard reality that the paycheck women are earning doesn’t close the gap on the cost of childcare; therefore, they’re left to make the hard decision to stay home with their children rather than work. The other truth to this is that women are fed up with the inequitable parameters we’ve been shrinking to fit within to be valued, seen, heard, recognized, and respected in the workforce and the business world. Statistics show that women have to work 20% more than men to close the salary gap. This proves to be nearly impossible to achieve while maintaining reasonable health and quality of life, especially for those who are also the family's primary caregivers, doing school dropoffs, running errands, cooking, cleaning, and paying the bills.

Women Should Rule the World By Star Hayward, Life & Success Coach, Transformational Specialist The simple fact that we can name the old adage “women should rule the world,” an old adage alone is proof that we’re overdue in dissolving the gender gap by creating an equal and balanced playing field, for women, men, and all gender identities in business, commerce, economies, and social structures worldwide. The question is, how? We cannot look to the external, physical world for change. The change that we as women, and those who want women to take the lead, are wanting begins within our individual commitment to a new consciousness. One that expresses the values which uphold the behavior and choices that will cultivate a more harmonious world within each of us, therefore outside of us. One that incorporates empathy, connection, intuition, humility, and vulnerability with strategy, knowledge, assertiveness, and productivity. In other words, in order for women to be valued for their natural feminine qualities and encouraged to bring their whole, authentic selves into their jobs and businesses so that we can contribute to the world in the ways that our world asking for, it will require an understanding of the distinction between the masculine and feminine leadership qualities that reside within ourselves, and then learn how to leverage both through an empowered and balanced state for powerful momentum, achievement, and fulfillment. Is this a tall order? It may be for many, but I say we don’t have a choice if we want real significant change. It’s time that we embrace the truth that in order to heal our wounds and inequities, we must do the inner work to bring the masculine into harmony with the feminine in all that we do, especially leadership. Without this transformation, we’re only limping along, but when we commit to being the change we want to see in the world, we also make a commitment to becoming a greater version of ourselves, as whole and complete. You don’t have to be in a position of power to be a leader, there’s a leader in every one of us. The more we embrace this idea the more empowered and confident we will become in breaking away from the old ways that are no longer working to forge a new path into an existence that will be reflective of a new consciousness order, in wholeness, inclusion, abundance, and health. Should women rule the world? Man, woman, non-binary… Let’s let love be the cause of the pendulum swing.

Hello beautiful souls! My name is Luna Jade. I began my healing journey approximately six years ago. This life-changing event occurred when depression and anxiety swallowed me whole; I was forced to open my eyes to a practice called self-growth. I have since been able to heal, transmute, and transform effectively. I expanded on this subject and followed my heart's desire to become a certified reiki practitioner. I can connect with people more intimately and helpfully since I began this journey, and this path has become my passion.
