Busy, yet entertaining event season coming this spring!

Happy spring! Springtime is a season that reminds us of renewal, especially with Easter just a few weeks away. Spring is also a time for new growth as we see the trees starting to bud and the beautiful flowers in bloom.

Speaking of new growth, be sure to stop by the Snellville Farmers’ Market and check out the Community Garden @ Snellville that will be selling cool season vegetables and herbs that were grown from seeds in their greenhouse.

The events have been scheduled, so let the fun begin! On May 5, we will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo at the first Food Truck Friday of the season and will be giving out Cinco de Mayo themed bubbles and tattoos, while supplies last.

If you love dinosaurs, be sure to save the date for the annual Beach Blast on May 13. Tulsa, the 9-foot-tall and 20-foot-long T-Rex and all his dinosaur friends will be coming to the Beach Blast to have fun with you and enjoy 70 tons of sand that will transform Oak Road into a beach.

In celebration of Snellville’s Centennial year, a Centennial wooden nickel will be given out as a keepsake at the ticket booth. Supplies are limited.

Get ready to move and groove on the Towne Green. The first concert of the summer concert series is set for May 27th featuring Bennie and the Jets, an Elton John Tribute Band.

Hope to see you, your family and friends on the Towne Green this season, for lots of fun in the sun!
