Summer is heating up, and so is the excitement here in Smithville! We’ve had a fantastic month filled with energy, creativity, and connection?thanks to you, our amazing community. We kicked things off in style with the totally tubular 80’s PROM Ladies Night Out, followed by hands-on fun with Lost Pines Artisans’ art classes. And what a great evening we had at the June Chamber Mixer, co-hosted by Mosaic Art & Home and Panama Rose and Twig?a big thank you to our hosts and everyone who joined in to support local and make new connections.
Looking ahead, we’re honored to invite you to a very special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, including the heartfelt unveiling of their Historical Marker. This meaningful event is co-sponsored by the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Smithville, and we’re looking forward to seeing you there as we celebrate Smithville’s rich history and community spirit. Mark your calendars?there’s so much more in store!
First Thursday on Main Street ? Join us downtown for a great evening of shopping, dining, and local fun.
July Chamber Mixer at Consuela’s ? Not only will we enjoy delicious food and great company, but 20% of proceeds from purchases during the mixer will be donated to the We Support SISD program. Come sip, shop, and support our schools!
The Great Casino Night ? Saturday, July 19th ? You won’t want to miss this exciting evening of games, prizes, and community cheer, co-hosted with CASA of Bastrop, Fayette & Lee Counties. It’s one of our biggest events of the year! And don’t forget?we’re still selling raffle tickets for the Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers game! Stop by the Chamber office to get yours, or grab a few extras while you're out at our events. It’s a fun way to support the Chamber and maybe catch some major league action! As always, we invite you to pick up FREE copies of the 78957 Magazine at the Chamber office to display and share. It’s a great way to showcase everything that makes our town so special. We love this town, and we’re so proud to be part of this vibrant, supportive, and growing community. See you out and about in Smithville!
