November 25, 2025 ~ Chamber eBlast

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As we enter this season of gratitude and celebration, I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our members, partners, and the entire Smithville community. Your support and hometown spirit are what keep our Chamber strong, and we look forward to celebrating this special time of year with you.

We’re excited to kick off the holidays with several wonderful community events. On Saturday, November 29, Panama Rose, along with Twig and Just Jill, invites everyone to their one-year anniversary celebration from Noon to 6 PM at 216 Main Street, complete with vintage shopping,

refreshments, and live music by Jason Molin. Then, on Friday, December 5, we hope you’ll join us in Bastrop as we celebrate Frontier Bank’s Triple Ribbon Cutting with the Bastrop, Elgin, and Smithville Chambers. This free event runs from 4-7 PM at 921 Main Street, with refreshments, music, a giveaway, and the ribbon cutting at 4:30 PM as Frontier opens its new executive offices.

The excitement continues the next day with Smithville’s beloved 34th Annual Festival of Lights From 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, December 6, enjoy the Arts & Crafts Festival at the Smithville Recreation Center along with downtown vendors and family-friendly activities throughout Railroad Park. That evening, the celebration continues with the Lighted Holiday Parade, beginning at 7 PM in downtown Smithville, featuring this year’s theme: “A Smithville Toy-Story Christmas.” (Register by clicking HERE!)

We’ll wrap up our holiday gatherings with the Annual Holiday Chamber Mixer on Thursday, December 18 from 5-7 PM at Towers Nursing Home on Hill Road. This is always a warm and festive evening, and we invite you to join us as we celebrate the season and another remarkable year in Smithville.

Please note that the Chamber Office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day through the weekend, reopening for our regular hours on Monday, December 1.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of our Chamber family. I wish each of you a safe, joyful, and memorable holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

Warm regards,

Small Business Tip of the Month:

Update your holiday hours, feature your best sellers, and highlight any weekend specials or gift ideas. A clear, simple post or sign can make all the difference during the busiest shopping days of the season.

The easier it is for shoppers to see what you offer, the more likely they are to support your small business!
