Editor’s Note
Let me begin by expressing my gratitude for the opportunity to create a company that continuously strives to redefine the world of luxury design. From introducing new ideas for private residences to luxury resorts, we take pride in bringing a diverse point of view and creative design solutions to our clients.
In 2020, I put all the cards on the table and started my luxury design firm, āśaya I DESIGN, because I knew I had to be the change I wanted to see in the design and real estate industry.
Three years in, what started as a team of one is now a team of eight well-seasoned design professionals who constantly inspire me to keep pushing forward and turn my dreams into reality. Together, we have tackled incredible projects, from mulifamily luxury residences in Miami to Sterling Bay’s mega-development Lincoln Yards and LaSalle Reimagined to name a few. It was also an honor to be part of this year’s Globe St.’s Women of Influence, the Who’s Who of America, and featured in Architectural Digest, The Chicago Tribune, and Authority.
I’m incredibly proud to say we have partnered with over ten diverse companies that share our commitment to bringing positive change through the business of design. This coming fall, we will be collaborating with a New York-based non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged families in India and Nepal. Being from India, this opportunity is close to my heart and one that I’m excited to share with everyone.
I hope this glimpse into our world inspires you the way it inspires me and that you enjoy reading this issue as much as we enjoyed creating it. There is much more to come. Cheers!

New Project
“Where Chicago Connects”
Lincoln Yards is a vibrant new development connecting Chicagoans to over 50 acres of riverfront between some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. The project is a defining moment for Chicago to improve a vast, underutilized parcel of land and benefit residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Earlier this year, āśaya I DESIGN was awarded the amenity spaces for Parcel E, the largest parcel on the site.

Celebrating women changemakers
“If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going.”
Aprofound quote by the late Maya Angelou has been the guiding principle of Latasha Brown’s journey. Latasha is the founder of Global Lofts, a distinctive hotel experience coming to Louisville, KY, that is anything but ordinary. The deeply personal journey of tracing her African roots ignited Latasha’s vision for the project. Through a DNA test, Latasha discovered her ancestral ties to the Bamileke people of Cameroon. The Bamileke, known for their exquisite wooden sculptures, intricate beadwork, and majestic elephant masks, also left an indelible mark on history. Creating a way to honor their legacy has shaped the essence of the Global Lofts, a place for travelers to immerse themselves in global cultures and embark on a journey of self-discovery. For more about Latasha, visit the Global Lofts website.
