OPTIONS ARE THE ECONOMIC ENGINE OF OUR BUSINESS A Message From John Thedford, CEO Every person who walks through the door of your store has the potential to help you grow your business dramatically and increase the volume of new options! Your existing customers can help you grow your option balance if you reach out to them! Have a conversation with new as well as current customers to find out about their current needs. This pandemic has lasted a long time — resources are stretched to the limit. NOW is the time to offer assistance to our customers who may need a little help paying their rent or mortgage, buying groceries, paying the utility bills, and maintaining their daily life. Every new customer should be properly qualified using NEHA - listen to their needs, evaluate their collateral, and determine their ability to repay the loan. For every existing customer, check their option history, find out what their money needs are, and reach out to them via phone or text if they haven't been in your store for a while. Let them know help is just around the corner and that you are always ready to assist them during their time of need. As we go into the Christmas season, our number one focus should be option growth and retention, while still driving our retail sales & giving a loan guarantee card with every purchase. One of the best ways to do this is to offer every redeeming customer the option to renew: Here is an example of how to offer an extension: Customer: I'd like to pick up my item Associate: Did you know that for only $50, you can hold on to that $200 for another month? Let me go ahead and extend that option for you. Options are the core of our business. YOU have the power to grow your options! Remember to plant the seed in your customer's minds and GROW your option balance.
