In our April Newsletter I discussed Excellence in Every Role, now that we are finishing the third quarter of the year, I wanted to discuss the importance of this as it is one of the planks in our Mission Statement

Personal Energy do you have what it takes to lead a high energy team and take them to new heights? As a leader you must have the energy to motivate

Edge can make the tough calls? All the easy problems are solved at the lower levels. As a leader in this organization, you will get the tough decisions and the farther up, the harder those decisions will be
Ability to Energize Others as a leader in this organization, not only will you have to energize yourself, but you are also going to have to take those bumps in the road in stride because you are going to have to keep other people looking ahead to the goal as well

Passion show me a leader in any sport, organization, or business The best leaders are going to have passion about what they do every day; it’s not just a temporary thing.
Excellence in every role that's the key!
Execute do you get the job done? I have a term called "eloquent fools". Those are the people that can talk about doing a great job all day long and they sound very convincing! The problem is they never get anything done! They never beat their monthly budget much less their annual budget To execute means that in the fuzziness of all of today's distractions and issues, you still get the job done!
I close with my favorite word INITIATIVE If you have initiative, that is going "above and beyond" what is asked of you, accomplishing superior performance without being asked, along with the five attributes measured above and held together with the cement of initiative, not only will you go far, but so will our company

TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Chehara Thompson Cashwiz Freeport

Athaton Daniel Cashwiz Dominica
Athaton has been with the Dominica team for over seven years as a sales associate. His greatest accomplishment is making it to the company's President's Council, a group of our top outstanding performers.

Chehara joined the Freeport team in the Bahamas eight months ago and is always the first to greet customers and is always smiling. Chehara is excellent in her role and successful in her sales and loan standards.

Fun facts about Athaton...he's actually a popular (DJ) disc jockey on the island of Dominca performing for Big Village Feast and other top venues during his time off. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his daughter and family, and loves listening and dancing to good music. He works hard but loves to have a good time!
Top goals for the remainder of 2022 include, to make it to the Top 10 sales associates in the company, to keep pushing hard every day to improve the overall store performance, and as a Senior (SA) to keep encouraging and assisting colleagues to offer the best service to customers.

KeepYourEyesOpen
Show only one jewelry item to a customer at a time to reduce the risk of “grab-and-run” thefts. Be especially careful if a customer only wants to see the highest-priced jewelry piecesorseemspreoccupied.

ShowOneItemataTime
Have fun showing and selling jewelry. Show your customer how great a piece looks in the mirror, but always keep safety and security in mind. Following the security tips above can reducetheriskoftheft.
MeetandGreet
When showing items that are priced at $500 and up, be sure to get the customer’s photo ID. If the customer questions this request, respond by telling them “Our insurance company requires it”. Before taking out a second piece of jewelry, be sure to return the firstpieceofjewelrytotheshowcaseandclosetheshowcase.
One on One
If using a loupe when showing jewelry, make sure to use the proper technique: keep both eyes open and facing forward, not down. By doing this, you will see the diamond better and in your peripheral vision you will be able to see everything going on around you. Thieves look for your eyes to close so they can reach around to the back of the open showcaseorlifttheshowcaseglass.Don’tgivepotentialthievestheopportunity.

SECURITY TIPS WHEN SELLING JEWELRY
By greeting each customer and making immediate eye contact, you will help your legitimate customers feel valued, while making would-be thieves feel uncomfortable, thus abandoninganyplanstheymayhavehadtostealmerchandise.

Showing jewelry should be fun and exciting for you and the customer! At the same time, you must be aware of what is going on around you.
Keeping your focus on one customer at a time while at the jewelry counter helps avoid theft by reducing the opportunity. It can be challenging during busy sales periods with so manycustomers, butitisimportantforserviceandsecurity.
Make it a habit to lock your jewelry showcase after removing or returning jewelry items. Never leave your jewelry showcases open or unattended. Never set down your showcase keysandconsiderusingwristholderstoavoidcostlymistakes.

WATCH AUTHENTICATION
As their service says, “With it only taking 15 seconds to identify a known counterfeit, why wouldn’t you use Counterfeit Busters every time you deal with a watch?”
