Firstly this week we need to congratulate our Women’s Pennants team, comprising of Majella Kahler, Anne Lyons, Roslyn Darton, Melanie McLennen and Jill Barnes. This mighty team defeated Oakey at Cabarlah last week, bringing us home, six very valuable points. We are now sitting on 12-and-a-half points, ahead of City and Pittsworth who are both on 7. Cabarlah are yet to play their second game, so things could change this month when we play at City.
Thank you to Club Warwick RSL for sponsoring our Women’s mid-week medal again this month. This is a much sought after win, as winners qualify for the Medal of Medallists in December. So Wednesday April 26, we played this great event. It was all the “Anne’s” in the winning circle. With Anne Lyons playing under her handicap, taking out Division 1 with a great 70 nett, & Anne Tomkins playing a great game to win Division 2 with 74nett.

Runner up for Div 1 was Majella Anne, and Runner up for Div 2 was Roslyn Ann. So there ends our bit of trivia for the week.
So the rest of Division 1 faired as follows- Anne 70, Majella 76, Marg Adcock 77 CB, Annice Payne 77 CB, Janine Stewart 77, Kath Devereux 78, Narelle Norris
81, Jill Barnes 83, Judy Lester 85. Narelle taking out the Division 1 putting, with 30 putts.

In the open class Kevin Birsh put down an impressive total, just one point away from maximum score, with Mark Paroz hard on his heels in second place. The standard class was once again led by John Cooke with Kevin Jones runner up. The sporter/ hunter class was well supported this week, Nick Kent having a successful morning , recording a score just one point from maximum, Gary Snelling not far behind in second place. Next Sunday 7th May we will be at the 300 yard mound sign on at 8.30am for 9am start, contact Margaret on 4666 1018 for details if required.
