Advocate for road upgrades

David “Kempy” Kemp, a vocal “road safety warrior” has been a vocal voice in the campaign for road upgrades across the Southern Downs region, which was recently acknowledged by local council through its Volunteer Recognition Program.

The program is offered to those who

“go above and beyond the call of duty to achieve great things,” according to SDRC Mayor Vic Pennisi, who added that the “Southern Downs is home to an army of individuals who make a true difference at a grass roots level to our community and our region’s liability through their tireless contributions.”

Councillor Cynthia McDonald applauded Mr Kemp for his “unwavering commitment to do right by the community".
