CALLING ALL ACTIVE TRAVEL CHAMPIONS!

From leading lunchtime bike rides and sourcing free cycle hire to hosting active travel breakfasts and attending our monthly Socials and Dr Bike Clinics, our Sustrans Active Travel Coordinator David Walsh has been busy spreading a lot of bike love this year.

In October team Leidos (pictured above) enjoyed a lunchtime led ride along the riverside with Sustrans having organised free bike hire with nextbike (Skypark very handily has two stations close by).

And earlier this year, in June, David hosted an Active Travel breakfast to share how companies can encourage cycling by nominating an Active Travel Champion in their workplace.

There is now a wealth of resources and support available to employers and employees at www.waytoworkscot.org a one stop shop for helping transform business travel and commuting.

With some incredible cycle routes on our doorstep, David will be leading another lunchtime ride during our Wellbeing Week in January with complimentary bike hire again.
